Yay, thanks guys it was fantastic. He had no idea about it!
Will be back in the money saving front tomorrow but for tonight I have not worried a bit!0 -
Okay, for the first time in about 6 months I have nothing that needs saving for / needs mending (except the whole house of course!) so I can actually start planning my OP's again!
I can't think that June is going to be great TBH (unless my FIT payment comes through) but July I should be back on full throttle with the OP's saving and investing!0 -
Let me finish my post now....got distracted!
What I'm going to do this week / fortnight
1. Write to L&G re possible pension.
2. Write to Barclays to Change Barclays savings account to current account so I can get blue rewards.
3. Write to HSBC to up standard OP by £20 per month.
4. Keep Check on new s and s ISA and BF's PIPP for first direct debits.
5. Transfer tyres money to CC.
6. Pay my mum for food she purchased for BFs party.
That'll do for now although I might edit this post as I think of other things I've forgotten!0 -
Today was very exciting as I had £195 land in my account. I'm guessing it's my first FIT payment but it had no description. I will wait for the letter to come through to confirm that's what it is then transfer to mortgage account :-)
Booked flights to indonesia today for October but no cost to me personally as its a business trip :-)
Still to do on my weekly list.....yes it's all of it!
1. Write to L&G re possible pension.
2. Write to Barclays to Change Barclays savings account to current account so I can get blue rewards.

Today was good, was BFs actual birthday I got him a foraging day and went out for dinner which we went halves on. Dinner was £21 in total so :-)
Ordered a book for Christmas at a cost of £9.99. It's half way through year so I start looking out for Christmas presents now and buy and good gifts I see. Last year I made all presents and am going to try and do this a bit again though maybe not every one as it was a bit much.
going to have a very quiet rest of the week. Have a kids party saturday and football restarts so that's about £25 spent.
The veggies I'm growing are doing okay although I'm a bit disappointed in the tomatoes so far. Hopefully they will improve.

okay its OP day!
despite spending LOADS of money on my BF's birthday party I have managed the following
TCB - £55.86
regular OP - £158.33
Fit Payment - £195.00
rounding down payment - £3.87
Total OP £413.06 !!!!!
Im chuffed to bits with this and I should also have about £20 coming from Quidco and also my santander cashback (couple of quid) to add in maybe this month maybe next.
Got £10 from HSBC save together into my account todaybut this is being saved up for a OP at the end of the 12 months as its not really 100% clear in their t&c's if you can take it out during the 12 months.
A really great OP month under the circumstances I am really happy0 -
Just doing some more stats as I am so chuffed with this months work
Interest June 2014 £307.61
Interest June 2015 £275.14
Thats £32.47 Less paid in interest and straight off the capital (as I have a set payment per month)

Today we had 3 chilli portions of leftovers that were in the freezer so we mixed them together and ate for our tea. Am going to make an effort to use up the bits and bobs in there.
Nothing much to declare on the money saving front. Didn't manage to get anything from the list done today. Need to add to list to put some stuff on eBay but I struggle to motivate myself to do this.
Want to create a logo for my blog is there anywhere anyone knows that I can create one for free? I'm going to post another blog post today too. :-)
