I dropped them an email to start. Asking for progress on the things they have promised knowing full well they've done nothing.
I will start from this as a point of reference. I have been very nice so far but they need to do as they have promised.
Money still has little happening and I need to wait to make additional OPs til I know where I am. Money shuffle must change next month to accommodate stooze account but it will now start on £1500 which is a little more. It will work its way back but needs to be there up front. I hate it when nothing's happening as there is the temptation to tinker!
I think I will up my standard payment a little in August, rounding up again this updating my standard OP.
No progress on house today as BF had a meeting with s customer this morning and with the footie this afternoon0 -
Had a lovely weekend with the caravan, although small if kept organised it is plenty of space for the 3 of us. It was so nice to sleep and the second night I slept for 11 hours!!! It was so much more fun than tenting. All the good stuff without any of the bad stuff!
Money wise we have spent quite a bit on getting all the things that we need for the caravan so still no additional OP's. I still have a LOAD of birthdays in the next few weeks and have some presents organised but still have a few to purchase. I had underestimated the amount of birthdays I have in this month to deal with but should still hit OP totalAlso have booked a school holiday club for the summer holidays at Norwich City as they get booked up really early and its a bargain at £50 for 5 days. Actually this month is going to be very tight!
Will wait until after mortgage payment day on 24th and see what additional OP's I can make this month. Still hoping for £690 but I think it may only really be a hope! Its been an expensive month!
I emailed the school who tried to fob me off, I insisted on more detailed information and got the answers I wanted. Glad I did that.0 -
Glad to hear you had a good time with the caravan.
Can see how buying all the kit for it can get expensive though.

Last few days ...,,,
The cons
The referendum sadness.
Unmotivated at work due to referendum sadness
Only being able to use a voucher in pizza express though I'd got a clubcard boost too.
Mini had pulled front off school shoes 3 1/2 weeks before summer holidays requiring new ones.
Mini choose £150 frames for his glasses. I'd said he could have whichever ones he wanted (won't make that mistake again)
Thought solar panels weren't working so checked everything before I realised batteries in monitor had gone.
Father's Day canoe trip cancelled due to numbers.
The spending credit card balance.
Pros
Mortgage payment has gone out with the regular OP and a little rounding OP.
Minis glasses have arrived and he says they stop the blue and green it's floating around (hadn't mentioned that before as he thought it was normal!) so is so happy to wear them.
His grandparents have offered to pay for frames too (they paid for lenses)
That is all for now0 -
Not a great month for the op's I've made another £40 but that might be it.
The caravan has taken most of the spare pennies this month and due to the constant rain we've only had one opportunity to go out in it
Next month should be reasonably back to normal.
It has been a good month for long and short term savings so it's swings and roundabouts.
The referendum sadness had been added to by the football sadness.
Cricket cancelled again today0 -
The aim for this month was £600 + FIT payment and we have fell very short of this this month which is a big disappointment.
Balance stands at £119380 so is into another lower £10k bracket :T:T:T
Capital Reduction £1080 (Over £1000 so its okay but way under my £1333.33 target which is really very sad)
OP's this month £504.79 which is really not good as I was hoping to achieve £700 or even closer to £800
Interest paid this month £245.62
Interest paid June 2015 £275.14
£29.52 Less interest paid in 2016
Daily interest is now £7.93 9p less than last month and 41p less than the start of the year.
ST savings increased by £864.35
LT savings increased by £1818.38
School/Annual Bills Savings increased by £192.80
Total increase in savings £2875.53 (a really good month)
In summary this month I am a little disappointed by the OP level but to be expected when we have made a big ticket purchase. I am thinking that the financial hangover from buying the caravan may hit next month as well but I am still aiming for £600 OP.
Long term savings really good this month as the government contributions are starting to come through for the pension I moved over to. I am not getting them through for the contributions made from work yet so they will add to it too some time in the future.
S/T savings not really too bad either. Very happy as I haven't had to dip into them too much so still a very good increase.
FIRE target at 6.57 % up 0.36% on last month and 1.89% increase since the beginning of the year. At this rate I will be there in 25-26 years!!! Hopefully in a couple of years the snowball effect will really kick in, hopefully!0 -
The usual £5 1st of the month OP made. £595 to go!0
-
Was just thinking how well the OCC household are doing compared to a few years ago
LT savings (ISA and pensions) addition per month £860 not inc government contributions.
ST savings addition per month £800-£900 (inc BF's £200 pm which I don't include on monthly summery as its his money not ours and he may go off piste and spend it on something. Hasn't done yet and last time spent on the plumbing disaster anyhow isn't included in the household finances)
Mortgage inc OP per month £1050 - £2100 depending on OPs usually about £1600.
Some of the ST savings are where I am aiming for stooze neutral (saving the savings whilst I make big purchases!) but bearing in mind I had about £8k on a credit card a few years back too and was paying minimum every month!!!
Might also do a WIOTW and net worth stats to cheer me up or depress me too!0 -
What's WIOTW?0
