  • LOL the BF definitely not suffering the same thing! It's man stuff!

I've had a robot Hoover about 3 years. Rodney has lasted well he's an Irobot which I got 2nd hand for £100, ive spent about £30 in bits and bobs for him and he's done us proud. Now he only really collects dust and dog hairs as he's lost most of his suction. I will prob keep thinking about it to go round the upstairs. Piper (see robots film for names Miniocc loved it at time we got Rodney) has just finished after nearly 2 hours of cleaning, she had picked up some reasonable sized pieces (I left as a test!) and lots of dog hairs (dogs are moulting).

Robot hovers are not a replacement for a standard Hoover but mean that you need to get the regular one out less often. I absolutely hate hoovering as I hate the loud noise so brought Rodney originally so I didn't have to do it! The BF goes around with the regular Hoover once every 7-14 days and Rodney (now piper too) does the rest.

The best bit is that you can program to do it all whilst you are out! I've seen law mowing ones at the country shows, they look brilliant. Not required for our garden though!

Sorry, from your previous post I thought it self inflicted! My wife is utterly terrible when ill. Today's gem was her expecting me to bring her a book to read from one end of the sitting room to the other when I was in the kitchen making lunch. I've noticed she's started to get our son running around after her now, too. We'll have a better day tomorrow, hopefully.

The robot vacuum cleaners sound ideal. :) Which one would you recommend? We have a lady come twice per week to clean inc. vacuuming but it doesn't seem quite enough now we have the dog.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

 to the wife!i will give none of that type of sympathy :)

Irobot and Neato are the best of the robot vacuums I can vouch for an Irobot as I had one (v good) and if I had choice without considering cost id go for a Neato. They are £400-£600 for the latest model. This new one cost me just over £50 but I'd usually about £130. As its a new product there are no reviews to check out but so far so good.

Robot vacuums are so good for dog hairs that's mainly what we use it for. Going round one a day just keeps it all manageable with 2 moulting doggies (although one hardly she tbh)
  • Completely exhausted today. Minis football this morning, they got thrashed. Mini was carrying a little injury or is having growing pains in his ankles. I think it's growing as he's shooting up at the moment. He also hurt it slightly on Saturday too to add to it. All together he was at about 50% but did try :)

Used the season tickets to go for a couple of hours of fun then spent half an hour with some family who were boating on the broads.

We are all really exhausted, mini is feeling sorry for himself but is just over tired. The end of the season is coming up so I think due for mini, he needs a break. I'm trying to persuade him to give up on some of his clubs as with this ongoing growth spurt he is exhausted and needs a break.

Money wise I spent £2 game subs today. Shuffle starts tomorrow including nationwide so hopefully that will go okay. Nat west account is part there and uploaded I'd online so fingers crossed that is okay. Hope to get that all sorted in time for next months shuffle and bagging the rewards which will edge me nearer the £20 pm free money from banks target. :)

Still have £10 in my purse and about £7 in my account and a week to go. Will be trying to not dip into savings but that might be asking a bit much!

Just popping in to say I have enjoyed reading your diary. My grandparents used to live in Norwich and I spent many happy summers visiting the Broads and going to the Castle Museum. I would be interested in funding circle if you are able to refer me?

Thanks for reading. Sometimes I just think I drone on and on boring everyone!!! I often slip right off the subject of money! I must admit I love where I live, it's such a nice area.

I'm happy to refer you to FC if you could PM your real name and your email :)

Thank you, OOC. Please let me know how you're getting on with the new robot vacuum cleaner in a month. I may be interested in buying one. Don't want to spend £400-600 though.

So far so good, loads of dog hairs up every day!

Still skint! Haven't taken any savings yet luckily am managing on nothing! Will try and budget better next month!

I have persuaded Miniocc to give up gym, the lady that runs it is not really that great and can be a bit harsh on mini. Also he's doing a lot at the moment with his extra learning so something has to give. He already decided to leave dancing for s little while which is s shame but he doesn't want to go. He struggles to remember the routines and I think he feels silly because of it. So currently it's just beavers and football but is going to try cricket for the summer when football is finished.

Just starting to pull all the stuff together for my personal tax return. Great fun!

No more OP's yet, will review tomorrow when the shuffles ends.

Looks like the nat west account is open but I still don't have account number yet so I can't change the dd's over yet!
  • Another day another dollar! Account still has £1.04 in it and the £10 remains in my purse, 5 days to go and still not touched the savings as yet! Will I last the weekend though.

The BF has renewed minis school uniform from eBay sales but his trainers need replacing too so his best trainers will go to school as they still fit and he can have some new ones for best.

Found out today that minis football team will probably fold as no manager for next year so will have to join another team. He has decided to try cricket for the summer which starts next week too.

Made op for this month up to £40 and will review again middle of next week to add to the op's. TCB paid out for the nationwide switch which I have transferred to the mortgage today. Natwest account set up but I don't have account number yet.

I'm hoping to achieve a £500 - £600 op this month fingers crossed.
  • A NSD for me today, claimed £35 from TCB which will arrive in mortgage account in a couple of days.

Still plodding on to personal spends payday Monday with the savings still intact :)

Mini started back at tutors again today so I'm relieved about that.
