The mortgage adviser suggested setting my mortgage payments at the same as the rent I had been paying when I took the mortgage out. I think I have made some kind of OP since the first day I took out my mortgage
A last minute OP for the end of the month of £90 taking my total this month to take the total to £1006.22. Thats a rather smashing total in my opinion!
:j Well done!
We took our monthly rental amount (£1,150) and tacked on another £200 as our standard mortgage amount. We figured we'd try it out for a year and see if we felt stretched thin, but it was fine, so we ended up with a default OP of almost £300 on top of our standard payment. Nature abhors a vacuum, so we try and run our budget very lean so that we don't spend willy-nilly just because we feel like we have extra money available.0 -
Started the month with a sneaky £5 OP I always try to do something first day of the month.
I realised I hadn't transferred my tidy account over in March do will leave until end of April. As most of my bills are set in round pounds I don't actually get much to tidy up but it usually ends up around £10 per month.
Got a few £££ interest in my tesco DD accounts which I added to my guttering account.
Food shopping spends are going well finished week 2/4 and spends at 120/200. The Pantry is really full so will go food shopping tomorrow for fresh stuff. I'm hoping about £60 should cover the next 2 weeks. Should be room for a takeaway in the budget too!
Hopefully April will be an okay month money wise. Fingers crossed.0 -
Food for month came in well under budget at 180/200 and stocked up til we start again on 18th. Had s takeaway treat with the final £20 in the budget
Minis football is called off tomorrow as they don't have enough fit players to field a teamon plus side it's a day to ourselves
Got a bucket load of tea to review paid for one lot and got 9 free!!! Will last us a good year if stored correctly after testing
Really really want a camper van again now it's heating up. Can't afford one but really really want one!0 -
I know how you feel, as soon as the sun comes out I want to buy a tent and I don't even like camping :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

LOL NG, I love camping but as I've got older prefer a few luxuries!
Yesterday was fairly productive, in the morning mini struggled to get any jeans to fit do cleared them out and realised he needs some new ones in a size 9-10. Must have had s growth spurt as the 8-9 are all way too small. Tried to get some from the car boot sale, did manage to get him some bits from there but not jeans. Actually got a few real bargains and spent £5!
Otherwise came home played football in garden and I caught up on some reviews as I had 30 to do!!! Have been keeping up the schoolwork every day with mini on the online programs and worksheets. There is definitely some level of improvement but it is not in relation to the effort put in. Lots of effort a little progress. I have tried printing the worksheets on non white paper and mini says words are a little clearer. He struggled with reading on a pattern background last year so I thought I'd try just plain pink and yellow. Will preserve with that.
Must get up now gotta go to work0 -
Busy day at work trying to tidy up website, this seems to be a never ending job.
Did work with mini before and after work the BF did some fun (learning) games with him too. Mini beat BF 3 times! Spent just over £8 on a book to help me teach him. Was supposed to be nearly £24 but BF had a £15 eBay credit code
Did a few more reviews tonight. Amzreview seems to not be working as it says my email is invalid do I can't load up the links to the reviews. I think I'm almost caught up now. My mountain of tea should arrive tomorrow can't wait! Will take some to work too for yummy tea treats. We are already quite snobby with out drinks with only freshly ground coffee (which we all drink black), mint and fennel tea being available. Reminds of an interview I did when I asked the young lady what she could bring to the table to which she replied milk. I almost wet myself! Whilst amusing she was totally unsuitable, unfortunately!
Had to buy mini clothes, spent £20 but he's stocked up now.
Ensuing going okay 5/6 items that sold have been paid for and dispatched about 10 things listed. Collection of stuff for garage sale is increasing
No money news accept a few £££ from FC today0 -

Ha! At least she was memorable.0 -
Tea arrived today, a whooping 8 types. Tried the Assam tonight it was really lovely, so lovely. It's gonna be s real pleasure testing and reviewing these
Also got a digital kitchen scales to try out which is fantastic as my old ones were rubbish!
Been at work today fiddling with the website again! Once I start there's one (tiny, nobody else would notice) thing after another I need to correct. The work does always pay dividends with orders though. Met mini and BF for lunch as I haven't spent much time with them. Mini at a sleepover tonight do took a walk with doggies via the pub. £10 spends. Old doggie just can't be bothered to run about so much nowadays, then again he is about 80 in doggie years!
I have £30 left to last til personal spends payday on 18th, think I may need to transfer bank a few pounds of the savings this month but I am going to try to last as long as possible. About £2.50 per day. That's doable!0 -
You will be so pleased if you manage it!0
