    Very nice month finance-wise! :)
  • Good day today, had a lovely beech walk with doglets. Spent about £10 in total on parking and got some drinks and ice creams too. The weather was lovely so bad to make most of it. The rest of the days are going to be shocking.

Got some reviews done, did some school work with Miniocc online and reading. Will try and do a few worksheets tomorrow too although he is mad for the online programs at the moment. Must take advantage whilst he's still motivated. Once this stops we will do a timetable.

Have serviced Rodney (the robot Hoover) and he's working better now. I really want to upgrade but they're expensive and it's not a necessity.

Don't try to diagnose your son, leave that to the assessment. :)

A timetable is a good idea, I have one for my son and have worked to a timetable since before he went to school. That way I know what needs to be done and when. Also, he can see when he has free time.

Well done for an excellent increase in savings and the overpayment. :D
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • I would never try to self diagnose hence seeking out professionals. Its very difficult with a child not achieving his potential despite being very bright. The date for the assessment has come through 3 weeks which is less of a delay than I'd thought. Will know more then :)

Today has been a good day. Morning we did homework and Easter egg hunt. L Miniocc has rolled his ankle so no dancing, used our annual pass to have the afternoon out just buying some hot drinks. Now sitting watching RV with robin williams. Very funny.

Moved some money abound so made the additional OP to make it a 1500 reduction this month.

My BF made me laugh today. My parents had brought mini a t shirt he would never wear so he took it back to exchange and got a jumper in a size 8 when it didn't fit you should have heard the moaning about the sizes being wrong. As is measured him a few days before I pointed out that he's 131cm which is about the average height for a 9 year old. The sizing is right the boy is big buy age 9 or 10!!!

I still don't get how that football team he got thrashed by were all bigger than him, he would have been smallest in that team. Must have been standing in manure!!!

Glad to hear the assessment date has come through quickly. :)

We're meant to be having our Easter egg hunt tomorrow but the weather is awful and I'm not on best terms with my son over some Easter eggs my parents-in-law and brother-in-law bought for him. To be honest, I don't know if it's going to happen.

I'm convinced the population are getting taller.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • I think the population is getting taller too, I'm 5,4 and everyone seems taller than me!

It's howling outside so staying in bed as long as possible. Have planned a trip today to castle as have a free entry pass, as long as the wind drops a little. If not it's a film day!!!

Yesterday made scones, so yummy! Took dogs for walk, had breakfast out, made Lego, did homework and watched films. Great day all in add. BF is adding stuff to eBay every day too a few bits a day. Currently one definitely selling. Have lots of Miniocc clothes to go on as he's having a growth spurt and the 8's are too small.

No money news apart from trying to keep holidays spending under control which is going okayish

  • Today morning was extremely windy, got homework and reading done then went to castle museum where they had a how to train your dragon exhibit on which mini loved. We had free entry so had snack out £14. The amount of yummy mummy's with out of control kids with rude manners was unbelievable. One actually took an exhibit I was looking at with mini out of my hands whilst his mum peered around the BF with a camera to take a photo. The curator was so embarrassed but said nothing. Another took the steps mini was standing on to look at an interactive exhibit when he stepped off to slightly move it. The parents said nothing. Neither of these were little kids both older than mini by at least s couple of years. Whilst mini might have concentration issues and may be struggling at school but his manners, kindness and thoughtfulness for others put most kids (and adults) to shame.

Now watching how to train your dragon films :)
  • The exhibit sounds fab. Urrghh I can't stand self-absorbed adults who are raising rude children. It really really annoys me. The mini-diamonds aren't perfect but they have self awareness and know their manners. xx
