Wierd day yesterday, miniOCC was back late from his sleepover so we were running late for going to watch football. We had splurged on a rare saturday out all together.
Running late we had to let it there, then in seats near some real horrid people, bullies, then we let go a 2-0 lead. Finally after the game dispite Norwich being a family club the West Ham fans decided to attack some bloke and his teenage daughter, BF had to pull them off and get police. West Ham fans taunting families with toddlers for gods sake. Disgusting behaviour and the first time I've ever seen this type of thing in my whole life of going to matches. The ones doing it weren't kids either, I'd say in their 40/50's.
Anyhow decided to have another takeaway as we were so late after going long way to avoid any further issues as we had miniOCC (although he was oblivious) so 2 takeaways in 2 days. Very naughty but we have not been using out entertainment budget money wise so money wise it's okay.
Today we have a 2/50 birthday party dad/son and need to get presents.
Happy valentines all in very mse manner we didn't join in with this at all0 -
Okay day today, went to the birthday party, was fun. Brought pressies and a few other bits spent £20.
Wrote a review for a serum, I liked and very good quality but will be passing this one on.
nothing else to report.0 -
Sorry to hear about the football.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
On behalf of all decent West Ham fans everywhere I apologise . Not about clawing back the two goals though :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

okay day today, miniocc went to street dance school. He was nervous to go but was brave and went in. Thoroughly enjoyed himself. He is looking forward to going back tomorrow.
I have been to the docs today for my healthcheck and have been told to lose weight and lower my cholesterol so as of today I am on a diet. I have to lose half a stone in 3 months and go back for another healthcheck. This is another thing to add to my spreadsheet!
£22ish from Quidco landed in mortgage account rounded up to £25 and also an additional £80 on its way from TCBThat'll help with this months OP.
Finally, Ive started applying for volunteering roles to assist my uni application0 -
Glad your son enjoyed himself. We had a quiet (and free!) day out with the dogs.
Excellent re. the OP and volunteering roles.I (mostly) really enjoy working at the school that I do some voluntary work for (some pay but it was all voluntary to begin with). I've been there for two years now and it's really interesting and some wonderful pupils. What have you applied for?

I've applied so far at 2 charities as volunteer support workers and have emailed SAMs too. Hopefully can do 1 morning per week to start. It will help my application to uni and also be a very nice thing to do
Very pleased with OPs once the cashback all comes through in next few days that will be £170 from cashback and rounding up! My regular op is nearly £200 so only £130 to add to hit my £500 target. Am very happy to say I've been able to save all £250 from my personal spends this month and personal spends payday is in 3 daysI have about £10 in purse and £10 in bank. Well chuffed, I have done very well this month
My regular saver will nature in a couple of weeks do need to open an account to house that money soon. Will be about £2k so nationwide I think is best option. (I already have TSB account)0 -
If you don't mind me asking how do you get all the cashback?2018 totals:

Not at all, I just make sure whatever I purchase I check the cashback sites, I have my cards registered for the instore cashback too. I always check for cashback when I do all my insurances and utilities too. If it's cheaper I then look at the cashback sites to go through to make a purchase. It takes a couple of minutes extra and last year had about £500 ish in total. I can have several months with nothing and then months with a lot. I use quidco and topcashback mainly with easy fundraising for all Amazon purchases.
I also get 5% cashback up to £5 per month with TSB just got using contactless. I think I have had the full £5 every month except one.
In total these little effort money for nothing activities netted around £1000 last year which went to the mortgage thus compounding the interest saved too that will end up a lot more;)0 -
I have 2 TSB accounts that I use as savings, but really need to use the contactless cash back. If you use the full £100how much does it generate?MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0
