Parking Ticket

Hi All,
I parked today on land belonging to Tesco which used to be used for shoppers. My purpose today was to go to my bank round the corner. I was literally gone for 10 minutes and returned to find a ticket on my windscreen. It was only at this point on looking around that I saw a sign on the wall. There were other cars parked there, but they did not have tickets on them. Had I realised that this was asking for money at the time I would have taken photos, but the wording at the top inside says 'Warning Notice to Driver'. It is from ANPR. They are requesting £100 or £50 if I pay in 14 days. Pretty certain this is not enforcable, but I could do with some guidance on how to deal with them.

Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES. This tells you everything you need to know on how to beat this.

This assumes you were in England/Wales and the vehicle is not a hire/lease car. The advice for Scotland/NI is different.
I married my cousin. I had to...

Use the search function which will help
  • ANPR are members of the BPA. Wait for your Notice to Keeper (29 - 56 days) then send them the standard appeal in the newbies thread.

If that does not see them off, then you'll be off to POPLA. You'll win. Do post your draft appeal on here for checking though (redacted of course).

Also when your NtK arrives, get a complaint into TESCO (don't admit to being the driver) telling them what you think and that you'll no longer do any shopping at their store - for all they know 'the driver' went to the bank get some money to spend in their store.

Also check the planning conditions - I know a Tesco near me tried this on until someone pointed out the car park was actually shared with the store and for those using local shops. They backed their goons off site rather sharpish.
  • So just to check, for now I do not reply or acknowledge ANPR? Can check into Tesco planning conditions though.

ANPR Ltd? LOL - comedy firm, useless! Wait for their joke of a first letter then send the template appeal of course, the Newbies thread is clear on that.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

  • I too have received a 'Warning Notive to Driver' from ANPR-LTD
I was parked in a car park which used to be council run (im not sure when it changed, and didnt know it had), I have parked there as a disabled driver many times and not had to set my Blue Badge clock as it was unlimmited parking for Blue Badge Holders.
This time however I got a warning notice within 10 minutes of arriving. In 3-4 disabled parking spaces there was One sign that said 3 hour parking limit. This was not in front of me and not visiable at the time of parking.
I received this warning notice, and beacuse I have had Parking Eye notices before and ignore them, so far have ignored this one. (i got it a week ago)
Im only concerned because what has been written on here and am wondering the outcome of the case where supposed court letter had been received and because of other sites which though they say ANPR are illegal in there documentation, they say appeal.
What do I do, do I do like I did with Parking Eye and do nothing?
Its not a penalty notice, its not a fine, its a warning saying if I pay within 14 days I get an 'early bird' discount and only have to pay £50
Please help, and advise greatfully received.

How do i find the thread for NEWBIES?

You know what they say - the early bird catches the worm. In this case, if you pay, then the worms and other slimy things have caught you.

Don't pay, read the NEWBIES thread and loads of others on here, then start your own thread so that we can tailor advice specifically towards you and not get mixed up with Sue or her dogs' problem.

Hi guys, I have been on before, but would like some advice to follow up:
Received parking notice on windscreen in land adjoined to Tesco which used to be a car park on 2nd December 2014.

Filled in standard letter and sent on 4th December 2014.

    This was ignored.

Received Final Demand dated 10th February 2015 with further £40 on so now want £140.00.

Sent copy of original letter marked COPY on 11th February 2015.

    This was ignored.

Received Notice of Intent dated 24th February 2015.

Notice of Intent is definitely dated later than 56 days.

    What should I do now?

    Regards, Sue

Copied and pasted to here as no idea how to find my original post. :-(
