..for?
I've bought a £200 tv this evening, a smart one, specifically for the dining room and specifically because I wanted netflix which the samsung site states it has and I was led to believe I'd be happy.
Im not
It doesnt have the netflix app at all on their samsung app store:mad:
of course now it's opened (how else would I find this out) am I screwed?
I did ask in store if we could have the remote to the tv as I wanted to check the interface etc worked but had it pointed out that the internets not connected in the store to the tvs so bought it on thier word :-/

So they told you in store that it had netflix on?
And have you googled "netflix" and your model number to see if you're missing anything?0 -
They didn't tell me in store no, it's on the samsung website which id checked before purchasing to make sure it met my needs.
And yes, have indeed googled the model number and netflix etc and have tried several "solutions" suggested on several forums to no avail.
I've been using netflix via my laptop connected to the tv in the sitting room, but as said wanted an integrated solution for the dining room :-(0 -
You should be entitled to a refund as it isn't as advertised and therefore not fit for purpose under SOGA0

thats what Im hoping :-/ but can foresee problems0

So it sounds like netflix *should* work on that set....have you spoken to Samsung?0 -
netflix is available on samsung tvs. Have you updated the firmware/software yet?0
-
i have a question, for this thread,
if the currys website does NOT say it has net flix, then sog will not work??
no matter what a 3rd party site says, even if its the makers site lol.0 -
It's not Curry's fault the TV doesn't have the Netflix app. Curry's didn't tell you that the TV had the Netflix app, so the TV not having the Netflix app doesn't fall under the terms of the Sale of Goods Act.
You could explain the situation to Curry's and ask them if they will change the set, but you can't force them to.
I bought a Toshiba Smart TV from them two years ago and returned it because the salesman told me I could download the ITV Player app and I couldn't. That WAS covered by SOGA."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Yep, spoken to samsung and already done all the software updates, firmware updates and hard resets to no avail and yes it should be available.
I spoke to the lady in india on the helpline and after going through it all again (they couldnt even find my account I made yesterday despite me being logged in while on the phone right in front of me) they eventually blamed netflix :-/
