I hope more newbies would read the thread called 'PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST'.
Really we want to help you but please read what's already here for you, how to appeal & win is already in the top threads. If unsure how to get back there, use the FORUM JUMP on the right and click 'GO' then read the NEWBIES thread, as you should have done before posting.
It's not even a PENALTY Charge Notice is it? Not a Council one? It's MET isn't it. Already covered by the NEWBIES thread, which is why I wrote it. Sadly, last year it got silly as we could not keep up with all the ''help I have got a private parking ticket, what do I do?'' threads so I wrote a sticky thread BEGGING newbies to 'read these FAQS first'.
You appear to have missed it but pop back there now and learn how to win.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Met parking?
Pranky has blogged about this sort of thing in the past, read this
http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/met-parking-operate-customer-not-here.html
If this was in a Mc Doanlds car pakd and it is that Mc donalds that have taken the parking company on you can go back to the mc donalds and raise hell with them ( hint - be firm but polite ) , print off the prankster report, and show it to them, demand to speak to the franchise manager, or franchisee, if they try and fob you off and tell you nothing to do with them. Tell them that it is their car park and they have employed the parking company to act as their agents and as such they are responsible for their agents actions.
If you can go at a busy time - do your reaserch first though and read up on the sticky thread.
if you let the Mc donalds know whats happening and tell them that should this go as far as popla you will/may reclaim your costs from the franchise then you may have a shot at getting are fund for the time you will/may have to waste on this.
only go for the mc doanlds complaint route first if you have time
in most cases its better to challenge this to the parking company and use the reatiler complaint method in parralel.
if you want to reclaim any costs that you may incur as a result of all this keep a time sheet and log how much time you spend on research, any journeys+distances and any items that you have to buy ( letters/paper/stamps etc) do not be extravagant. if you p[!!! that Mc Doanlds on the way to or from somewhere then dont claim any mileage - only time spend going/photographing signs etc even if your costs are as low as £5 you shouldnt end up out of pocket as a result of that Mcdonalds negligence in allowing a predatory parking company to operate on/in its car parkFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Thx very much
It is parking charge notice.
I have 14 days to appeal or pay reduce charge of £50
Can I appeal or not now?
I spoke in macdonald staff but they r useless0 -
will get back later, but forget about the reduced free, the only thing you will be paying is zero. From the Plain Language Commission:

Thx very much for your quick reply. Ok I take your advice & don't do appeal until I get letter from met parking in post. My 14 days are going to complete tomorrow
Some people say do appeal within 14 days some say just wait for letter in post.
Just confused0 -

Who are these "some people"?
Have you read all the relevant parts of the NEWBIES thread?0 -
We clearly say wait for the Notice to Keeper then send the template appeal - couldn't get much easier!

When signing up to the forum, a post does not jump up in bold to attract them to the advise given. A newbie simply does not know there is such a thread, nor that they should "Read this first!", short of the post appearing as the first AND ONLY post for a newbie, they are left with only two options.
Ask on the forums for advice regarding their own personal circumstances or spend the day scrolling through the threads on the off chance that someone, somewhere has posted something similar.
Any Newbie would opt for the easier option of posting about it.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I know, it is frustrating though - and surely if one finds their way to a parking ticket forum the first thing you would do is to read a few threads to see how the forum works? That's what I do when I look at a new forum, click on a few threads first not just post - and I did that before I was an MSEer too, it's common sense.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
