I ran out of things worth selling but you are right, in the run up to xmas anything can go.

    Home Insurance Hacker!
Bad morning here, washing machine has gone on strike just as I am getting ready to go on holiday. I have plenty of clothes to take but I like to leave everything clean when I go away so I was planning on a big wash, all bedding, lots of towels and anything else that could do with a wash. I love coming home to the house looking spotless but now I have piles of wet half washed stuff. The repair man is supposed to be coming later. Fingers crossed.

Dustmen are due today and I went out to put my boxes ready for collection and there is rubbish all over the road. Lots of people put the recycling boxes out the night before and the wind has spread alot of it round the gardens/pavements and road. I have had a clear up round my house but of course it is all still blowing around.

    Not the best of starts.

£50 last night on a freezer. Was hoping for commission but getting to keep the lot. Christmas miracles starting already ☺

  • Just updating signature. Listed a couple of bigger things on Gumtree so we'll see how that goes.

Just about made my target when totals are combined - currently at £1076.45 for me and £448.04 for the children :D Just had a small amount of gold and silver scrap sell for £34 to take me over :)

I posted a box of books off to Ziffit yesterday, so that'll be a bit more when they've checked it. I've also got a few ebay listings ending tonight, a few of which have bids on, so I'll have a bit more.

Enthusiasm for selling has waned since we paid off mortgage, I have to confess. All sales monies now, though are going into Florida Fund :) I have been donating more to CS/ elsewhere of late - plus I am genuinely running out of stuff to sell until the kids grow out of something else! I think I'll do a similar challenge next year, even if there isn't one on here, as it's interesting keeping track of how much is raised. :)

Well done to everyone still carrying on! I shall keep note of my totals until the NY, when I shall start it afresh :)
