Hi there
Could I please join this thread? I have loads of clutter I need to get rid of and the thought of making £1000 sounds amazing, not sure I will ever reach that target but will certainly give it a good try.
Whatever I do make will go towards a holiday in September 2016 :j My daughter is 40 then and all the family are going so it is a good incentive.
I will wait for free listing and start selling on ebay then. I will post if and when I make something and will update my signature shortly.
Good luck everyone you are all doing so well and it is very inspiring reading all of your positive posts.

Hi all x
I would love to join, i did join another ebay selling thread but its a bit quiet.
I started selling in the new year mainly on ebay (woah the fees have shot up- fees on postageno likely!)
Anyhow i have made £359 - books, kids clothing, football tops & shoes.
I have been amazed at what some people buy too. I'm not fussed as long as the paypal balance keeps increasing. One man's junk is another man's treasure and all x
I am selling to pay off debt, one predator in particular with a 29.9% APR - the way i see it, every £100 i make selling is actually £29.90p saved in interest.
Put me down for £1,000 also. It is highly unlikely i will make that much, but aim for the stars and the moonFinally dealing with debt: 01.01.2015 -£10,562.:(

I've now got my husband on board and he has sold some dvds and cds for £100, bringing the new total to £122.84 #26. I have some more eBay items finishes soon, it's all starting to add up nicely.Emergency Fund £0/£500
£365 in 365 Days #18 £520/£520
£2.00 Savers Club 2017 #11 £300/£3000 -
Can I join please? Going to try for £2000 as the first £1000 should be relatively easy (things I've been meaning to sell for a while but never quite get round to  ) My problem is motivation, if I have a spare minute I'm much more likely to spend it cleaning, but I need to realise that if I just get rid of a few more things then the cleaning will be easier too! That second £1000 will definitely be a challenge though!PAD: £4843.10 (loan paid, yay!)
One debt vs 100 days: £288.73 / £750

when was that? I didn't see any notifications - not that I had that much to list!
special offer? not something I've heard anything about. but I did notice it's the same price for several weight bands, so I'm assuming it could be something to do with that? if so I've made use of it today, as I posted 2 parcels that were just over the 500g top limit of band 2.
I think the eBay offer of extra free listings is by invitation only. I never get the email invitation either:mad:
Royal Mail has had the offer on for its SMALL PARCELS since about October. It was supposed to end in January but they have extended it to March 29th now:j
I don't know what the 500gm band is that you mention but the offer is that whereas you could post up to 1kg for £2.80 you can now also post Small Parcels weighing from 1kg to 2 kg for the same price of £2.80. This is ONLY if sent 2ND CLASS. Check the Royal Mail website or pick up a leaflet from your PO for a size guide for Small Parcels. Most of the stuff I post qualifies as Small Parcels though.0 -
I switched off emails from eB@y about promotions some time ago (after I stopped selling), so went into my account yesterday and turned them back on - hopefully get some through now
I use the RM website for pricing postage.
Under small packets you have to select weight of up to 100g, up to 500g, up to 1kg, or up to 2kg. At the moment all bands are £2.80 2nd class, and all but the 2kg are £3.20 first class (heaviest is £5.55, which I thought was a big jump). I'd have expected both prices to go up with each band, so it looks like up to 500g and up to 100g also have a special deal on 1st class at the moment? Medium packages also only have one 1st class and one 2nd class for the 3 lowest weight categories - again something I wouldn't have expected if we have to specify weight to get quite!
I'm not liking that these are special prices for the next few weeks - it's already dear enough to put me off trying to sell, as I wouldn't pay the postage for most of my junk - let alone postage plus a bid !!!Cheryl0
