Nice to see you back Panda.
With new house and baby, another lovely little boy, DH and job I think you are doing really well. Lots of green in your post (or am I just colourblind?!!).:j0 -
I feel really lost these days with my sporadic visits to the site! Just when I start to catch up with everyone else's diaries, something comes up and I don't get back of for a week or two and I'm lost again. Wouldn't it be great if you could get some sort of digest of the diaries?!
I'm doing well with the £10 a day, currently on about £240 which I've just realised is just under £30 a day! But that included £100 from the Play boy casino offer. I'm hoping ot get a loads of stuff on Ebay on Thurs.
We're away next week on the first of our 2 Sun hols - 5 days in a caravan near Scarborough! Will drive me around the bend I'm sure, but Adam will love it.
Here's a few of the latest pictures (i.e. about a month old!). I did, however, finally post the thank-you cards the other day, so I'm not a totally terrible person (just mostly terrible!
).
Note the cradle cap! And he doesn't like trousers much either!
Crap, I've just noticed the time! I'm supposed to be at work at 5 (it's 5.42!!!). Ah well, it's only DH there...I'll buy a few more free Bala Gingo tickets then head along!
Edit: WOW WOW WOW! Just went to buy the free tickets and noticed that my balance is £20 - I must have won! YAY! Now got a very valid excuse for being late for work!0 -
Aw, how cute are those pictures? He looks so happy in that first one!0

awwwwww your boys are sooooooooooooo cute.
well done on the bingo win£2 savers club 2025 #40 -
Aww what a pair of cuties. And well done on the wins, and on the mega List Of Doom. You're doing really well, and I think you rock. Look how much you've taken off your debt already. Go Panda!!!This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0 -
Well, had our fabulous Sun holiday in Scarborough and I'm glad to be back at work now for a rest! It was all ok, nothing particularly exciting but Adam enjoyed himself which was the purpose of the whole trip. Also met up with Natlou and her family one evening (who were lovely - the best behaved boys I've ever met!) which was great - it was nice not to have to pretend we're not skint for once!
I've just taken out 2 Payday loans with an APR of...get this...11,982% :rotfl:  :rotfl:  :rotfl:
BUT I only did it for the Quidco! They're paying £70 per accepted loan with no credit checks, and the interest that will be paid in the 17 days only comes to £25 on each, which makes a £90 profit, provided that it tracks ok. They've got a 100% score on Quidco, so hopefully it'll be ok, but it is a bit of a gamble. I've had about £150 from the Play boy Cas ino offer this month though, so the way I'm looking at it, it's £50 of their money I'm gambling. But can you believe that APR?! Do people get that desperate?I suppose they must, or these companies wouldn't be in business. Makes me realise that we're lucky to have been able to maintain a reasonable credit score despite owing billions, and I'm glad that I didn't go down the DMP option which would have taken away any decent credit facilities for emergencies.
Greg is asleep on the sofa (under supervision!) so I'm just having a quick catch up. He's been really whingey for the past few days, but *TMI alert* until this afternoon, he hadn't poo-ed for 6 days, so hopefully he'll feel much better after his explosive eruption (as DH called it!), which I thankfully missed as I was at work! His skin is still quite red and blotchy so I think I'll probably take him to the doctor this week as I think it's itching and annoying him a bit. He's a real chatterbox now, and seems to be really interested in the tennis on TV, which could be handy for the next fortnight!
We're still overspending on the house, but it's looking loads better. We also got a new car last week which is loads bigger and better than the other, and won't actually cost us anything as we can sell the old one for as much as we paid for the new one. I just need to get my rear in gear and get the old one cleaned out and put on Ebay as the money came from my Mint balance transfer cheque, and the balance I want to transfer needs to be paid off by July before interest kicks in. Once we get our affairs in proper order, I'm going to post a fully revised SOA and really get stuck into the overpayments.
Hope everyone's good. Thanks everyone for all the positive comments - it does cheer me up and motivate me when I'm not so chirpy.0 -
Hello!!!
We found the "need" for payday loans this month as wellMy APR was even more than yours

Hi Panda
Glad your ok, your life sounds as hectic as mine, i know what you mean about not having to pretend your not skint. I think we all put so much pressure upon ourselves to act like everything is ok when it's clearly not. Goodluck with the payday loans hope it all works out ok.
