Didn't know you had a DFDiary until I set up a search party this morning and everyone quickly told me you had last reported in today on your thread.

We have no debt on credit cards loads etc etc but have a mortgage of £200k and less than half your house hold wage and its a bit of a nightmare at times, we both earn extra money here and there like it shows on the £10 a day thread so that helps, don't know where we would be without it, so its nice to know someone else has a whacking great mortgage too ( although I am sure you would rather have a £30k mortgage).

Hope baby stays put til next Saturday ( due day) then you can be moved and maybe a little unpacked  and ready for impending mother of 2ship.

PS I must add I find having 2 kids far easier than having one, my eldest was 2yrs 8mths when youngest arrived and life seemed to be so much easier when he did, I don't understand how or why it got easier it just was, maybe I had to become more organised, but don't stress it will be fab!!!!

Hi there PandaPaws - Haven't ever posted on any board before so hope I do it right!! Just wanted to wish you all the best for everything that is currently happening for you.

Still intrigued about what your job could possibly be??? Whatever it is it sounds like my kind of job.

Keep up the great work with all your debt busting.

    Cheers

LinksReviewed - while you are of course entitled to your opinion, it would probably help if you were to read the thread a bit more. This kind of advice in one of your first posts isn't terribly helpful, and pandapaws is literally 2 or 3 days from her due date.

I think the PPR under his user name means that he is supposed to be banned or something.....

anyway, PP will know to take no bloomin notice at all! After all, there is still £1 bingo to be played!

Good luck with surviving the in laws - after that, giving birth will seem relatively pain free :rotfl:

Morning everyone! An hour or so of peace and relaxation as the outlaws have taken DS out to feed the ducks and DH is back at work today. Got 'It Pays To Watch Extra' on the TV (having eventually managed to switch it on...grrr...) so it's just me and Martin here!

Batgirl - thanks for the reassurance! My DS is 3-and-a quarter now, and I have no idea how I'm going to cope! I think it seems worse right now since I can't imagine doing anyting except sitting around but hopefully I'll be back on my feet again as soon as junior is born. I'm so grateful to the £10 a day challenge - we've just managed to pay our solicitor the £1500 shortfall on our deposit entirely from the free money and there's still £500 in the bank. Where would we be without it?!

Lizzybop - Thanks for posting, I'm honoured to be your first post, and thanks for the good wishes!!! In answer to your question, I'm an air traffic controller (as is DH). Fairly decent money, and I'm at a relatively quiet airport so 90% of the time it's my licensed presence that's being paid for rather than actually doing any work, hence I really do get paid to watch TV/play on the internet, and it's more like part-time than a proper job! I keep it fairly quiet just because there aren't that many of us girls around in this part of the country, but I reckon this is so well buried that nobody I know will find it. And anyone who knows me from the real world would have worked it out by now anyway if they were sufficiently interested! (And who cares anyway if they do!)

As for the other thing - KC & Hypno are just about spot-on there! Thanks for the advice LinksReviewed, but it's quite a while since I posted that initial SOA, things have changed loads since then, and we should have those Egg cards paid off or with a very low balance before the 0% has ended. We'd never consider a debt management company as we have no problem making ends meet, our aim is to overpay and bring forward the DFD, so a DMP would only trash our credit rating (which is excellent, apart from the sheer volume of debt!).

Here we go with post number 2!

I was so excited to see my name in someone elses post, thank you I was chuffed - how sad am I?

I've got two boys, and I found it easier with 2 than 1, whatever happens you'll get through it and probably come out smiling.

(My second labour was only 39 mins first contraction to baby out, no time for pain relief! They say it gets quicker every time daren't have another one!)

Might go and do some more posting now I've got the knack :D

    Good Luck again
  • Hi Lizzybop is right, second is usually easier including labour so hoping all goes well. Will be thinking of you this week with the move, due date and living with in laws  !

PS Third doesnt seem to be quite as easy :D .
