You've GOT to post a picture of that for us - that sounds like classic Blue Peter! I'm actually jealous, as I love crafty stuff but I can't see DS being particularly interested for a while yet (if ever), and with 2 boys I suspect that matchbox Christmas trees will be on the back burner while Playstations and the like get all the attention.
Got to say, I'm not really a crafty person myself (which is odd as firstly my mother is well into crafty type activities and secondly I ran the school arts and craft club for 5 years!). DS is not in the slightest bit interested and never has been but DD loves to make things (mainly a mess, but never mind!).
One advent calendar is finished (a fairy castle) and DD has just finished painting the matchboxes and herself green ready for putting together tomorrow.
I would post photos if I knew how! Can take them and download them, or even put them on photobox etc but after that I don't know what to do!
Natlou, I'm with you on the playstation. The vast majority of DS's pressies fir in a carrier bag as they are all games and books whereas DD has a couple of games but also a selection of bigger boxes too. DS understands though. What is the age gap between your sons and your daughter?0 -

I only worked this out the other day with the bedroom business: copy the whole URL http:// thingy for the photo you want from photobucket (I used Auctiva but guessing it's the same), then on MSE (either the quick reply or the advanced page) click on the 'insert image' icon above the box you type into - it's the one which looks like a yellow envelope with grey mountains on it. Just paste the image URL in that and the photo appears on the screen - I couldn't believe that it was so simple!
Come on, I'm dying to see the advent calender in the shape of a Christmas tree made out of matchboxes! And no, I'm not being sarcastic, I really do want to see it! Anyone wanting to swop their DD for my DS and his train sets for the purposes of craft activities let me know! (Only temporarily, of course - I think there's laws about doing that otherwise!)0 -
Im back from my night out - was really nice to catch up with my fiend, haven't seen her since DD's christening in May so it was really nice to catch up. Had one glass of wine, then friend went to get us another and came back with a bottle (it was buy 2 glasses, get the rest of the bottle free) Sorry if that makes you jealous Panda - but it wont be for long! Thanks for the voucher code as well, I will definitely have a look tomorrow, although I can't investigate Asda, our nearest store is in York, about 45 miles away!
Choco - my boys are 9 and nearly 8 and my daughter is 18 months, tonight was actually ok, as I managed to get her for a nap this afternoon, so she's been pleasant all evening, and just gone to bed with no fuss at all!

OMG Panda I am so jealous of your trip to Dublin. I absolutely love the place. I went with a huge crowd of friends for our 40th's and we spent the whole weekend in the pub and acted like total teenagers the whole time. Bloody marvellous!!!
I then went with my mum and kids and actually saw Dublin without the alcoholic fog and it is superb. I just love the Irish. Have a blast x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
M-I-T thanks! That sounds exactly like most of the Dublin trips I've had! I'm getting really excited about it too now, as Dublin to me in the past has been all about fantastic nights out and horrendous hangovers! Last time I was there was about 6 months ago for a hen weekend with a load of mates from Belfast. It was fab, but I felt SOOOO ill after a couple of drinks and despite my best efforts to drink through the pain barrier, I ended up on water and still got a lousy hangover. Obviously it was because I was just pregnant and body rejecting the alcohol, but I'm strangely looking forward to being in Ireland and staying completely sober for once!
Glad that you enjoyed your night out Natlou! The days of drinking wine by the bottle in a pub just seem like a distant memory! Shame there's no Asda near you, they've always got good bargains - hadn't realised you were quite as far as that from York!
Another hour and a half of 'work' then home and on leave until the 10th Dec! :j :j :j Literally counting the minutes now...84 mins to go...!0 -
Muppets at the estate agents indeed.....hope it soon gets rectified!

Thanks for reminding me! Just checked, and for the first time in nearly 2 months, the Rightmove ad actually says what it's supposed to say!
Still here, but only 39 minutes to go!
