Not strictly accurate.
Waitrose have their own delivery service.
They also have a contract to supply Ocado with Waitrose-branded goods. As do Carrefour. Ocado also sell named brands.
Ah!!! Ok I stand corrected then.I was given that information to post on here!! Obviously it was no use to anyone then!!
That's an extra night on night watch for me then!! :rotfl:

It would have been a NSD yesterday but at 8pm I realised the only milk we had was out of date and it was snowing a few miles away, so thought it might be prudent to get some milk and bread in. Still, only a few pounds spend and a large toybox and breadbin sold and collected, plus 2 bin bags of clothes given to charity. And 5 boxes packed. Bring on today.0

Morning all, five good sized portions of veggie curry made yesterday from stuff already in stock:) very pleased as they are now nestling in my freezer
This morning I am batch cooking a large beef casserole from stuff in the freezer plus veg also from the freezer.I am trying to use up as much stuff as possible before needing to shop.I also made some biscuits yesterday, and today will make some fruit scones.I may also make something with the Christmas mince meat that I have jars of.:) My friend gave me 4 very large jars a couple of weeks ago that she snaffled for 10p a jar :)from Sainsbobs. Her exact words were
" Here's a treat for you as I know you like a bargain" my fame is universal and bless her she wouldn't take the money for it so I'll make her a cake or something in exchange:):)
Hope everyone is wrapped up well this month as January is a miserable month weatherwise. Fingers crossed the spring will soon be here and the garden full of bulbs. This year I am going to ask the chap who comes to do my garden if he can fix me up with a raised bed so I can have a few vegatables.I don't bend in the middle very well due to arthritis and passing yearsso gardening is a bit difficult for me now.But perhaps a raised bed or two on the patio would be enough for a few tomatoes and maybe some salad stuff.Every little helps its said
:):)
Right I'm off to do some more batch cooking
Have a good day everyone what ever you are doing

Morning shipmates
I have to spend a bit today on essentials and also going to cinema tonight, off to see The Theory of Everything. will be taking my own drink and chocolate bar ( 6 for £1 ) ones from Aldi. Would normally go on Tuesday when it is cheaper but DD couldn`t make it last night. Must get an orange sim so I can do orange Wednesday.
Sister coming tomorrow for 2 weeks so will put a vat of soup on later and freeze some. Sold something on e@ay yesterday so that`s another £25 in my holiday potOff to post it now.
Have a good money saving day folksMake £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.0 -
It is definitely not a no spend day today as I had to buy a few things that I needed from Amazon. A kitchen gadget broke and we use it daily so that had to replaced and the other things were household stuff. I did buy a couple of treats for myself but they added up to £4 so I think that won't blow my budget for the month.:rotfl:
The downstairs is vacuumed, the floors mopped, the bathroom cleaned and the last load of three loads of laundry is in the tumble dryer. Ah, it's satisfying when you get everything done and it's not even 10 am.:A
I'm just sitting having a cup of vegetable soup (I put a teaspoon of Marigold bouillon in a cup and put boiling water over it so it's like a cheap cupasoup:D) and then I will go and play fetch with my dog.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Update from the pickle household.
This month we WOULD have been in credit several hundreds thanks to this forum.Previous impossibility in January. However son bumped his car and needed to get his car back on the road without going through insurance (big excess) so we loaned him. In a previous life we would have to resorted to a credit card. So win win. DS mortified he has had to borrow from us i know he'll pay it back.
DH and i sat and decided what we think has made the difference.
Having 'pub lunches' at home
Taking food and flasks when we go out
Better meal planning
Not getting sucked in by sales (only a bargain if you went to get it anyway)
Not feeling we have to buy because we are worth it
NO impulse buys even if we have to go back which we havent yet!
Looking forward to the rest of the year with you shipmates0 -
Not a NSD day here as we need a new kitchen tap, but I got it from Amazon for £18 and the exact same model was £58 in B&Q, and I used my survey vouchers for it so it's a semi-non-spend! I also went to Mr T and spent more than I should have done really, but got some bits for DS's birthday party. So £10 gone in actual cash.0

I was gonna say about Orange Wednesday but you beat me to it! lol! I'm lucky though cos on Tuesdays they do tickets for a fiver, so thats a third saved if I decide to go.
I've been crafting this morning, just wasting time until this talk I have to do today. Not spending any monet, although that may change depending on if this talk goes well or not. I may need to comfort snack!0
