Sjprmc01. I bet your toiletries stash isn't bigger than mine!!
No more toiletry buying until mahoosive stash is used up!

Regarding the toiletry stash mine isn't huge but there are about 3 types of products which I have loads of.
I've now taken to alternating using up something to using my favourite product. Rather than using my favourites up and having the temptation of buying them again rather than using the stash.
It's especially satisfying using up the little samples and small gift toiletries, you get to recycling bottles quicker and reduce the stash quicker with those!2024 - happy, healthy, quality over quantity, buy nothing new (and 2nd hand only if NEEDED), mindful spending, nurturing myself and family, living for now.
Mortgage @ 31/12/23 £248k - too high, interest rate gone up - want this down asap!
Debt @ 31/12/23 £16k - no interest - will clear over 5 years hopefully.
Emergency savings £4k - been ransacked over last year - needs attention :-(0 -
The sad thing is I don't have any carp toiletries! I love them all. But get them as gifts and buy them in the sales!! If I wasn't so ashamed I would photograph them and post. It's a terrible curse!!! :rotfl:

Had to do a bit of planning.
The market I intend to shop at is held on a Thursday at a local town, given distance, traffic and parking it will probably take around 30 minutes to get there.
This Thursday I have a midwife appointment in the morning at a town the polar opposite to this one! So it's not viable in either time or fuel costs to go to both on the same day.
A bit of research and I've found the local town that has a waitrose has a market on Tuesday so I shall go to that instead and amend my meal plan to work from tues-mon. If the market is any good (smaller than the intended one) I may go to that regularly.
Chimney sweep was successful! Cleared lots of soot, didn't make too much mess and saved £25! Now have two loads of washing drying in front of a roaring fire.
Night all, thanks for the inspiration as always x2024 - happy, healthy, quality over quantity, buy nothing new (and 2nd hand only if NEEDED), mindful spending, nurturing myself and family, living for now.

Good evening all,
Just a quick post from me. We have spent the grand total of £1 this weekend which was on milk, I am incredibly pleased with this. On Friday I rang and paid off our boiler so that is done and dusted which is a relief.
Checked online banking earlier, is it just me who loves it when your balance and your available balance are identical, i.e. there are no DD's or pending card transactions to go out?! Perhaps I'm just sad :-)
I will need to spend a bit of money at the greengrocers tomorrow, I have decided to follow a high fat/low carb plan for the next three weeks therefore need to stock up on some eggs, cheeses, green veg etc. I have done this sort of plan before longer term and saw great results, but have been very lazy with my eating habits since DS was born. I am going to weigh myself tomorrow then again in two weeks time and hope to have made some progress.
Right, off to declutter DD to bed then a glass of wine into me
Cheers chums, keep up the good work xx
PS - I am with First Direct and I LOVE them, never once had a problem that wasn't very easily sorted, great call centre staff and they answer the phone within seconds, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them xMFW

Hmmm I'm not too sure about that!
I have an 80l box full, a 40l box full, a 3-shelf bookcase full, at least 3 toiletries bags full and some stuff in a cupboard and in use in the bathroom. And it's all solely mine, OH and kids have their own too
Oh and I think I have about 15 or more bottles of perfume. I'm terrible! - NO! I was terrible! A lot of it is stuff I've aspired to try then for the prev yr and a half we had a lot more money than we thought we'd ever have and my collection has spawned from that. Flash forward to after summer when our money has gone back to what it was before that 18months and now, fair enough, I have many years supply but I look at things and think they will have gone to spoil by the time I get to use them! I've parted with many (mainly to the school as prizes for parent council held events) but atm I'm of a ' I wasted my money on it so I'll bl**dy well make sure I use it' frame of mind!
Edited to add: oops I also have one of those big s&g bags (last yrs b00ts star gift?) rammed full and another gift box of stuff too :eek:No more unnecessary toiletries Feb 2014 INS: 24 UU: 13. Mar 2014. INS: lost count, naughty step for me! UU: 80 -

Ha!Ha! Feels great when you get a few together doesnt it?
Kinda becomes addictive like a game to see how long you can go without spending a penny!NOT BUYING IT 2018!
Consumerism is.....buying things you don't need with money you don't have to impress people you don't know and probably wouldn't like even if you did know them.0
