Aqua card - credit limit highier than £3750

Hello,

I got this card in 08/2013 and I started with a credit limit of 250. They increased it constantly and few days ago they increased my limit to 3750. I am just curious if I can get an higher limit. I heard that vanquis has a maximum of 3000, but didn't find anything about the maximum with aqua.

Thanks

  • It's probably not very wise to carry such large amounts on a high-interest card.

I have always paid in full every month and never spent more than 300 on that card. Just curious if they offer for exemple 4500-5000 or more.
  • Why do you need such a large increase in credit?

I have had the card for 5 months.
I too pay it off in full each month.
I started on £250 which quickly increased to £750 and has in the
last month gone up to £1800.
I am not sure what the highest they go is.
I also have a Barclays Initial Card with a similar apr that I got at exactly the same time. It started on £150 and it is still on £150!
Again I pay that card off in full each month too.
I am hoping that one will increase soon as it is a Barclays Visa card.

When was your first increase? I've had it 4 months with no increase.

    After 2 months
  • If Aqua have upped your limit to £3750, I would drop them and apply elsewhere. You can probably get accepted for a more mainstream card, so if you did ever have to carry a balance you'd pay a lot less interest.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

Just curious if they can get a higher limit? Why do you think that might be, genius?

    Pure curiousity maybe?
Though you're right to warn the OP!
