Not happy with T&Cs provided after sale

Hi all, I bought a reconditioned washing machine in a store today and it wasn't mentioned to me that the pipes that should come with it would not be supplied until after I had paid. I wouldn't have paid for the machine if I knew I would have to go out and buy extra pipes etc. afterwards.
Is this grounds for cancelling the contract as this wasn't told to me at all and is just on the back of the receipt I got after paying?

Did you ask before paying? You can pick them up pretty cheaply or take them off your old one.

My old one has already gone to scrap. And I asked "is everything working and it comes with everything?" To be told yes.

Head down to your local tip and take some off an old washing machine. The tip near me has a room filled with old washing machines. I imagine you can easily take the pipes off.

The problem is I'm not going to get a chance to do that. I was expecting it to be delivered tomorrow afternoon and be able to plug it in and go immediately. I could pay the same price for the same machine elsewhere and have it delivered and able to use then and there, so you can see my frustration.

    Yes it is frustrating.

I would cancel it and use the lack of pipes as the reason.

If they offer to supply the pipes then I'll be more than happy to continue with the sale, but reading their (dodgy as fcuk) T&Cs on the back of the receipt I'm worried if I do cancel because of that then I'll be in for a fight :/ just wanted to make sure I was in the right first.

Of course, if they'll supply the pipes then all's good :)

You bought in store so you can't cancel, so no your not in the right. The machine hose will cost about £3, hardly a big deal really, is it?

The point is that I will have to go out of my way to do this, which I won't be able to do for several days, when realistically I should have been able to use the machine without having to do it.
So I just have to accept being mis-sold something?

Exactly, it shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I've had three washing machines in my lifetime and the hoses for two of them are stored in my loft in case I ever need them. This is MSE, you never discard useful stuff!

The point is I went out today and bought a machine on the proviso it came with everything I needed to be able to plug it in and go when it arrives tomorrow.
This isn't the case and so yes, it is a deal breaker.
Had they told me this prior to purchase when I asked if it came with everything, I would have gone to the place round the corner and bought a machine there instead for the same price but with all the pipes etc.
