Thinking about getting a 2nd job

Why not wait till you hear from interview. If you get a job offer from warehouse would it be contracted for 40 hours and not zero hours. This would be better for you as you will have set hours and not have to worry about hours changing each week and be more secure.
I wouldn't soeak to kfc just yet until you know where you stand with other job as kfc may cut your hours as you may seem to them that your not comminited to them.
You need at least a day of rest to have down time and even do housework. Doing 54 hours a week you may not have time to do errands or have a social life. Also if you work at two jobs it might be harder to book holidays off too to match each employer.Mortgage free wannabe
Actual mortgage stating amount £75,150
Overpayment paused to pay off cc
Starting balance £66,565.45
Current balance £58,108
Cc around 8k.0 -
I have got the job at the warehouse, I will be starting next week (pos. Thursday 11th Dec 2014), if not then the following Monday (15th Dec 2014)
I will be handing in my notice at KFC on Sunday, so I have 1 more week there
The reason behind taking the warehouse job alone is that I will most likely be doing nights (10pm-7am), due to public transport (until I can sort out my drivig licence anyway) @ £8.13 per hour, at least 40 hours a week, so much better than KFC0 -
Congratulations pal - as everyone said in your original thread (with one notable exception) work leads to work. Keep at it - my first job was in a call centre now I'm a Chartered Accountant.
All the best.0 -
Experience is experience, if this job does not go to plan then I have the knowledge to do the same job somewhere else that does the same kind of work, as you all probably know if you read my previous thread, I have a very strong work ethic & will do what is needed to succeed
Again I have to thanks to all those that have supported & helped me in my choices0 -
Congratulations!
And your days will be free for dog walking0 -
I will be spending most of the day sleeping, lol
I will have to spend 5 hours traveling to & from work (2.5 hour there 2.5 hours home), until I get my driving licence sorted0 -

And you could dog walk during the day if ya fancied. Easy money, just say you have a pet first aid certificate pffffft:D
Seriously well in on the new job. Get the driving sorted and hack that travel time down.0 -
I have had a call today the job has been postponed indefinitely due to some unknown reason0
