My Coupons New from Sainsburys????

    For the 2nd time now, 4 out of the 5 coupons haven't worked and I've had to contact customer support to have them added. By the time I send them an image of my coupons, explain that the points were added, and reply to their email stating I must wait 10 days to point out that it has been 12 days already, it doesn't seem worth my time. If my points aren't added again I think I'll give up and hope that they start giving me coupons at the register again (i never get any now that I signed up for mycoupons).

    I've been using My Coupons for about 5 weeks now, got to say it's brilliant, I get 1000+ bonus points each week, coupled with the £6-£7.50 off coupon that I get from the till when I complete my shop means my points are stacking up and my food costs come down. In 5 or 6 weeks since I started collecting points from a zero balance, I now have well over £50 worth already just from Sainsburys food shopping, petrol and a few ebay purchases. I'm intending to keep going with My Coupons and save save save in order to spend the lot in one go on eBay for a new iPhone 7 or 8. At this rate, the balance should hit £500 in not much time.

    You will need to email Sainsburys with all the deails like the item and points due and the store you used.

    also it will help if you can add a photo of your receipt as well in the email.

    they are good and getting back to you and will tell you that its been passed to the people who deal with My Coupons and points added a few days later.

    also they will need to know the email address linked to your nectar card and also email address linked to your My Coupons account as well.

    I can't remember who I contacted about it but I did it through the contact us thing that I found via the my coupons page. Every time it happens I have to go in and figure out who to contact. When I realised how little the missing points were actually worth, it didn't really seem worth my time. You have to wait 10 days before contacting them with missing points - they won't look into it before that time.

    So cant really make head nor tail of whats added and when! ive got the bonus points added approx. 5 days later I believe for certain purchases approx. 140.... but the double bonus points on the shop I only appear to have received 14. Shouldn't you get double bonus ie 140x2 plus 14x2??
    Im not that bothered but its a bit hit and miss.


    Going to be doing a online shop this afternoon so setting up bonus points now, shall see what we get and when following that!

    Double bonus points only applies to your standard shop points. So if you got 14 standard points then you would get another 14 points.

    You don't get double points on bonus points.

    I keep a little book and write in it he item and how many points due and date so can keep track on when the points go onto my nectar account.


    It seems to work so far and I've only had to contact them a couple of times for missing points which has been sorted out within a few days.

    UPDATE on points collecting. I've found that 90% of things do track with just a couple things that I definitely bought not crediting the bonus points. For about 2 months, the offers on items I got were pretty good, with an extra 800 bonus points coupon on every shop, every week, so the points really racked up. But now the extra point on the shop have gone, and the bonus points on individual items seem to be lower. Have gone from collecting 1000+ every week to just 2-300. I assume that Nectar have decided that I am hooked and don't need to tempt me further! This is game theory in shopping, making day to tasks like a game with rewards and so on to keep us playing. The savvy thing to do is jump supermarket to take up the extra offers there, and then when you haven't been to Sainsburys for a while, out will roll the money off coupons and mega bonus points.
