Best time to put our house on the market?

Well just to update- after about 5 weeks on the market we have accepted an offer from FTBers. The offer is 3% less than our asking price and slightly less than what we bought it for in 2009. We did try to push for what we bought it for, but our buyers were more stubborn than us.
We have also had an offer accepted on a property in the area we are moving too. In fact our offer was accepted before our buyers confirmed they still wanted to go ahead (offer had been left on the table last week). So we've had a nail-biting 48 hours! The area we're moving to has a much hotter housing market than ours and after a week on the market they had had 10 viewings (we were 1 of 5 on Saturday). We didn't hang around and made a good offer on Sunday, which was rejected but a slightly higher one was accepted the same day. We're relieved as it was the only 3 bed house in the area we were looking at that was anywhere near our budget. They are in a chain (not found somewhere yet) but seem keen to move as they want to be near their adult children. Also turned out that, although we don't know anyone in that area, we have a mutual friend with the vendor and were all at their wedding so we're hoping that link will help keep us on good terms.
Now fingers crossed it all goes through ok!0
