He didn't exlain anything about a control panel. I believe you can use a smartphone as remote control and that therefore the switch he mentioned would be a software one. I did wonder why he would store the SIM in a box, though.....you can't make a call or text from a control panel, you have to remove the sim and put it in a phone as the OP explained
