Spends for today:
£17 on groceries
£22 on petrol
£1.40 on parking
£5 for the Dartford tunnel (for tomorrow - I'm off to visit my parents)
£4 on painkillers and gel for my gums because my wisdom tooth pain is killing me! And I also have a cold so it was definitely essential.
Tomorrow most of my DD's go through including my loan so I'll be able to update my totals.0 -
Managed another NSD yesterday. Am at my parent's house for the weekend now, should be a quiet one with no spends, although today I popped to the wholesalers to buy some cheap Guinea pig food. It's soooooo much cheaper here than anywhere near me so it makes sense to stock up. I also bought a couple of Christmas presents and a watch online. The presents were budgeted for, the watch wasn't, but it was only £10 and I had the money in my account. Made another payment of £5 too.
I budgeted an extra £180 for debt repayments but have worked out I should have approximately another £100 on top to throw at the debts on top of the extra payments I've made so far. :T Feel quite proud of that as I haven't been in such a good financial position for a long time, and in the past I would've just spent that money. I'm tempted to just pay it all off my debt straight away but it's such a long month for me this month that I'm scared to! I've also budgeted to save for my two 2016 holidays so feel very positive. My DFD can't come soon enough!! :rotfl:
Prior to buying my watch I was going to buy a new work bag but my mum donated me a really nice vintage bag as an early Christmas gift lol.
I must prepare for this interview on Monday afternoon but have a banging headache and my cold is worse. I'll definitely get round to it over the weekend, have to give myself the best chance. For the first time in a long time I'm not worried if I don't get the job. I would LOVE to be successful but I'm at peace with it if it doesn't work out.
I'll make a couple of small overpayments this weekend and sort out bigger payments next week. As it stands I've paid 14.9% off, got a long way to go to reach 25% by Christmas!0 -
Great news about the extra payments!
And good luck for the interview on Monday. Hope you're feeling better by then.0 -
Just paid the rest of my Barclaycard off so I've now paid off 15% :j little sense of achievement right there for the weekend.0

Been for two dog walks and down to the beach today. Going to take the dogs out again later this evening. It's been a really nice day here. I still feel a little under the weather but the fresh air always does me good.
Made a token £1 overpayment to my remaining credit card today. Going to make a big loan overpayment next week so I'll keep the smaller payments for the credit card. Once this card is paid off the account will be getting closed, I don't need two cards. I should have that card cleared in 5 months just before the 0% deal runs out.
Reviewed my monthly expenditure earlier to see if there is anything I can get rid of. Right now I'm doing the best I can on my outgoings and have good deals on everything except my phone, but I can change my contract in December. That can't come soon enough, I'll definitely be looking for a better deal. The only other thing which is likely to change is my mortgage in March next year, but I won't worry about that just yet.0 -
Also to add, I've bought quite a few Christmas bits this weekend along with some storage rails to go on my kitchen wall where I can hang pots and pans etc. Since OH moved in storage has understandably got a little tight so I've taken some measures to hopefully combat it.0

I've been squirrelling little things for Christmas for a while now - the gift list is looking good. It's nice not to have to pay for it all in one massive chunk. Not giving up

Definitely, I'm going to start wrapping soon probably! I really like wrapping in brown paper with pretty ribbons. It tends to be cheaper than wrapping paper and you can reuse the ribbons again haha how very cheap (or should I say MSE) of me! :money:0 -
Took one dog for a walk and the other for a run this morning. Will take them both out again later. This is the first exercise I've done for a while, very much overdue! Made another £1 overpayment to my credit card today. I should get my work expenses through tomorrow so I can pay £180 off my loan. :j0
