Hip hip hooray, I finally managed a SFD today! So at last I managed to keep my purse closed for once, that make's 1/10. I'm hoping for another one tomorrow as I don't need any groceries and I have things in the fridge/freezer for lunch and tea.1/10/2015 Debt Free

STOOD UP ON HER OWN TODAY . Nearly cried as she has never been able to do this independently (she's nine). Trying her at school for a couple of hours tomorrow but will be on standby if needed. Fingers crossed.
What a lovely Christmas present for you all. I nearly cried myself. You must all be so pleased. I know she probably has a long way to go still but little steps :T
Today was most definitely NOT a SFD for me as I finally stRted my Christmas shopping. 9 presents completed and a couple more part done. Some parcels will arrive tomorrow thanks to a free trial of Amazon Prime which I will cancel just after Christmas :money:
25% of the shopping completed but still a way to go. Next year I will be more organised.
Just lost 3 posts in a row so off to bed before I lose this one too.
Night all
Chez xThat money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"0 -
Samiszel fantastic news for you just before Christmas with DD. Bless her she sounds like a strong little trooper.
Mr S have cut the price of 'my' bread from £1.45 to £1 to match Mr A!! :j So £3 spent on 2 loaves and 4 pints. It shall last until Sunday hopefully, maybe Monday. SO aiming for SFDs x5 in the next 5 days! Also got Jelly a much reduced wooden alphabet puzzle with real solid wooden lower case letters. Less than half price, less than £5. Perfect for Nursery Santa.
Night all xx

Hello hello.
I would call it a lazy day but it has actually been quite busy. I had to finish unpacking, wash all my dirty stuff then found that OH hadn't done any washing whilst I was away so four loads later...

Anyways... spent the afternoon with my mum. Spend-free day had so that is now six out of fifteen!!

Hello everyone, well done to everyone who is being frugal, even the splurge on clothes was in a charity shop so still very MSE
And congratulations to strong, brave DDs and their mums, who are an inspiration to us all.
Today was thankfully an NSD for me as I had a coffee meeting but was treated as I was offering advice. LTW and WTW, and was also treated to a lift home which was lovely. This was certainly a good deed - meeting a stranger to offer advice although I'm up to my eyeballs in work at the moment, I think it was a big help to her.
Freezing and blowing a gale here so already tucked up in bed in thermals, onesie and dressing gown, and a fleece wrapped round my head, if only the bf was here, this sexy outfit is going to wasteNight All.

Morning all,
I took lunch to work much more often, managed yesterday, Monday, Friday and Thursday. I am not at home this morning so I will need to buy my lunch today. My non-spending days were Thursday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday so I'm up to 5/15 so far. I still have Christmas gifts to buy but am feeling very pleased that I joined in on here as it's making a big difference. I'm surprised how much more money is in my purse if I make lunch and take it in each day.
WtW 100% so far since month start.
Now if I could just exist on nowt for the rest of the month I'll still be debt free!
Have a good day turtles0 -
Been MIA again
keeping on with the mse things though :j
In the big smoke for a few days on a very tight budget - job interview tomorrow
Today - I'm travelling with an Oyster Card to save on tubes, using free WiFi and drinking free coffee. I've also been and bought food for my l/d to avoid the temptation of eating out.
Hope everyone's festive frugality is going well :j
Kaspadoc0 -
Oooh, good luck for tomorrow Kaspadoc, let us know how you get on
Spends today but all budgeted for. Vitamin's 3 for 2 at B**ts and double points. Have £8 now which I'll use when I need handcream or something. One more pressie too so £87 left for Christmas shopping which should be plenty. A couple of bits of food but that was out of the shopping jar ~ nothing left till the weekend when the last £22 will go in to do till Friday 19th.
Also bought a new duvet for spare which wasn't budgeted for. Was on offer though and needed. Sains sent an email offer, if you use 500 points at Argos they'll give you 1000 back, so result I think :T
Nothing else to report on the challenge front, still not listed anything or made any extra pennies!
