Sazzlebgood that's amazing news. Good luck with further progress.
Kaspadoc good luck for the interview.
Another SFD today, tempted by the Aldee voucher offer but don't have my wallet anyway. OH is off sick today but that means he'll not go out for his christmas lunch and drinks = money saved. And I guess I won't be going for drinks after work tomorrow either then = more money saved.
My goals for 2015
1. completely stop smoking, no more sneaking the odd rollie here and there
2. save £50 a month for christmas/MOT 2015 and always have enough in the emergency fund so the CC remains cleared
3. pay off the wedding debt and once that is done set up an ISA for long term savings (£50 or 100 not sure yet)
4. be happier and more content especially to the benefit of my kids and people around me
5. start reading and crocheting or similar crafting again to aid number 4.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Must try to post more often should be a goal for the new year. I am doing quite well this month compared to how it used to be. So since last time I posted
Petrol £40.32
Food, Dog and home £207.86
Fun budget £11.50
Penny pig 32p
Fun budget was lunch with my pain management group of which I contributed £3 to the lunch of one member who has no money - on very low benefits- so another good deed.
Dog food should last 6-7 weeks and I re stocked the dry stuff cupboard and my 2 daughters work stuff-tea, soups etc. Some more Christmas food into the freezer is included as well.
Put a packet of cereal into tessimo food bank box. I have £53 left in food budget until the 19th but have also £23 cash in household purse so should come in around £400.
Kaspadoc hope interview goes ok
Sazzlebegood you must be so proud of your daughter hope things continue to improve
Mothernerd - you amaze me with all the things you do, but do take care and look after yourself
Fmess thank you for your kind comments they make me feel I am moving in the right direction
Will think about my goals for 2015 and include them in my month end roundup for the 19th.
Hope the weather is not too bad where you all are, have a good day everyone,
DottyNSD 1/3,

Loving the goals thrifty, traveller and sazzlebgood
I've been reviewing my goals for last year:-
1. Pay off ccard before it runs out of 0% - done :j
2. Increase income wherever possible - done :j
3. Go on a holiday - done :j
4. Lose 25lbs and keep it off - not done - lost 16lbs and then put back on most of it
5. Do not buy or adopt any more dogs - fail!
6. Start an emergency fund - done :j
7. Start a personal savings fund - not done but decided it wasn't worth having savings and being in debt
My goals for 2015 are going to be:-
1. Be 80% debt free by the end of the year (really I would like to aim to be DF but I know how hard I have worked this year and still only managed to pay off 33% of my debt in the year)
2. Pay £60 a month, every month, into the saving/emergency fund
3. Be more appreciative for everything that I have
4. Get to 9st and stay there
5. Do not adopt or buy any more dogsLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Today I am grateful for this thread helping me stay focussed, for my lovely dd, for finishing dd's class's Christmas presents-into-envelopes session, for the web, for the anticipation of watching the World's Strongest Man soon!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Just lost post - silly me, anyway going to bed not typing it all up again, working early tomorrow.

NSD. Sorted lots of screws and diy bits. threw a few bits of tinsel around.
Still thinking about my goals - some are a bit amorphous, would have to write an essay to explain what I mean. Will whittle away and refine them.
Today I am grateful for a large bag of new library books, for the ivy (was at the bottom of the yard when it started to hail, ivy is so overgrown I just put my collar up and stood in the corner and the hail didn't touch me) and toilet rolls. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
