Hi all, this is so infuriating
Edinburghlass, do you happen to know what happens to those people who have accepted an offer and are awaiting their payout?
My Husband is 7 days into the 14 day wait with hsbc and this has kinda thrown a mist over it.
I cant believe they didnt tell martin til half an hour before the program, thats disgraceful. I didnt actually see it, but i can imagine just how annoyed Martim must be. Glad he gave that woman a VERBAL SLAP!!! :T

FOS does have a posting on thier website that they are not going to deal with any more cases until the outcome of the High Court.0

the way i see it at the moment we may win our refunds but will prob lose out in the long run with the banks trying to make back there losses.
Am i wrong here......0 -
If you think about it, there is a cost dealing with all the cases that the banks are having to deal with. When you look at the record profits the banks report every year it's a drop in the ocean. Also don't forget it's vote winner
for Mr. Brown. Why announce it now?, why wasn't it announced last month?
when Blair was in charge0 -
OFT launch a Hight Court test case. They're going to force the issue..
Cat amongst the proverbial here, but might it not lead to an end to banking as we know it.
Most of the banks are now testing fee paying C/A's
Perhaps we'll all have something else to moan about shortly....
They may lower the charges for unauthorised and authorised, but we'll all be paying for the service... Yes that's right us in credit bunnies as well.....0 -
I can't believe this announcement, it's come completely out of the blue,
I'm so angry. I've been pursuing my £2500 bank charges since January and last week I finally got a date for my preliminary hearing which is 7th August. Now I don't know what is happening: whether or not this will go ahead or be postponed, etc.
I also can't believe that there was no advance warning of this happening. The sheer logistics involved with 7 banks/building societies, their solicitors, the court service, the FSA, OFT, FOS and general administration of this massive procedure; how was there not a leak about this happening before today!?!? No doubt anyone in the process of, or considering pursuing bank charges will now have to wait months before an outcome is made, which will no doubt keep the banks happy with a 'compromise' charge of £12.0 -
I was just about to claim against lloyds through the courts. Think I will wait now for Martins advice.0
