It's obviously hard to say without seeing the microwave - if the front was smashed in with wires hanging out then it might be a problem. But as you say, you seem to be worrying too much. if it's just slightly dented, and it still works, then there's nothing to worry about.

Bit messed about with LL since then, got a call Friday promising both the cupboards and broken kitchen light(which happened the week before) would be done first thing Monday morning, I went away at lunchtime Monday for a few days and rang every day to be told they are swamped and not got round to fix it yet, then a call yesterday to say they can fix light but not cupboard then moaned at me because I mentioned I put the wooden stuff on veranda with sheets over it(and in a position that rain wouldnt get to them) and they said they may get wet and damaged despite the parts being damaged anyway.

Arrived back today and light hasnt been done despite it being promised to be done for definate yesterday and girl said on phone today it was marked as done, but she phoned the workman who said I was in his book but he was swamped so didnt get a chance to do it.

So I have been waiting for kitchen light for 2 weeks to get repaired, and cupboard for 1 week!

    So the cupboard is fixed?

What sort of kitchen light is it, how is it broken?

Cupboard hasnt been touched, they seem to think all that needs done to it is reassembly but I think some of the joins are damaged from the force when falling off and some oil that was in cupboard spilled on it though I cleaned what I could.

The light I am not sure, it does need a new bulb that I was willing to purchase, its one of thoe long tube types but I think old one died as the socket it was in was vibrating from neighbours washing machine(and the socket looked tatty anyway) plus had a flood in kitchen a few weeks ago from neighbour so I think they want to check the wiring is ok in it just in case which is good.

Its just a little annoying how they kept saying something will be done by a certain date and in the morning for example then change mind and say they are swamped and it maybe the next day, or evne that it will be the next day for sure, then goes through the same cycle so I do not know and meanwhile I am without a kitchen light and have to pile up my food on the side.

And I am still waiting! LL claims they are waiting on the parts but it shouldnt take 2 months for parts to arrive!

Also my microwave has started sparking in usage, it was brand new a few months before it was damaged, dont know if to mention it to LL, it looks like in the bottom its starting to melt the base, not sure if a wire inside is touching due to the dent on top.

Do you mean parts for a cupboard?
I am sure you wouldn't but DO NOT USE the microwave.
Sounds to me you need to get out of there as soon as you legally can.

Landlord sent someone round today who said they were only told about the fault on Friday and the LL only ordered the parts about 10 days ago(which was last time I rang them)

They were supposed to ring me when someone was coming round, good that its done though but handyman mentioned the cupboard is held on with 2 bolts at top and none at bottom and it probably just had too much in it(I just had things like packets of pasta and rice and nothing heavy) I have seen this handyman before who mentions the LL always cuts corners.

Now its just the issue of the damaged microwave.

I forgot to mention that the handyman struggled to get it attached to the wall and he reckoned it wasnt originally attached to wall correct.
