Yep I wouldn't be waiting in all day, just in case they 'might' come! I would want a 2 hour slot. I have better things to do than wait in all day for people who 'might' come!!!
That said, I think there must be somewhere else in the house where you can put your food!(•_•)

I meant more in the sense of all the wood from the cupboards which is taking up a lot of space, I suppose I can squeeze food either above the remaining cupboard in boxes or under the sink.
I do have a outside area where I can store them, I assume that over the weekend the elements wont damage the cupboard much as I dont know if they will put a new one up, most of it looks physically undamaged only one bit has the holes where the joins are that look a bit weak.
And I am autistic so I worry a bit more about these things.0 -
As we don't know how big it is, or what your place looks like, we can't really offer any solutions. You could put it on your bed during the daytime, then move it onto the floor when you go to bed.0

I reasonable time IMO is what it would take to get it fixed if it was your own home. Perhaps a week? If it's gonna take longer than that, perhaps ask for a discount for the kitchen not being fully usable. You probably won't get it, but you might.
As for waiting in for someone to perhaps turn up, that's just madness. If you agree to that sort of thing, they'll just mess you around even more."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
This is NOT an emergency repair, ok it falls under 'must maintain structure and fixtures' however, a reasonable time frame for a replacement kitchen cupboard that is not causing any risk to your health or safety, is as long as a piece of string. Before the end of year would be reasonable. Sometime in January could be construed as being 'they've had ample time and its still not been sorted, I'm getting a bit fed up now'.0

I just went to use my microwave which is 5 months old and noticed it was at a bit of a slant, I notice a slight dent on top of microwave and below it but microwave still seems to work just worried something will go wrong, I had to place a bit of plastic under the bottom right corner to prop it up but a bit worried..
Also since the damage occured from furnishings would it be covered by under any insurance.0 -
Microwave will be fine, don't worry. It would probably work upside down if you wanted it too.0

Your postings are slightly confusing, as they seem to combine melodrama and understatement. If your kitchen in falling down, you need to get the landlord round tomorrow. If there's a slight cosmetic defect to the microwave if you stare at it closely enough, you're probably worrying a bit too much."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0

do you have any form of professional mental health support ?
it sounds like you are not yet ready to cope with living on your own without someone to support you. Have you considered seeing your GP or your carer?
I have been living away from home for 15 years, it just may seem more extreme as I am autistic, I can cook and clean no problem just I worry a lot.0 -

It's not literally falling down but when things like floods happen and cupboards fall down you worry that what will be next! Also I know the bedroom flooded before I moved in thats why previous tenants moved out.
The reason I worry about the microwave is I turned it over thinking it may be a loose piece of plastic that makes it stand and noticed a dent right under where the screen and dials are and I worry that with the damage being there it may be dangerous, if it was just dented metal I would not worry.0
