Amazon Black Friday scam

The reduction quoted is against the RRP. It is all perfectly clear (except to you). Whether the RRP is "made up" is entirely irrelevant
That is a ludicrous statement. Re-read what your wrote yourself if you can't see it.
ANYTHING that involves made-up prices is clearly a scam. You saying otherwise doesn't change that.
As I already pointed out, the fact that you & some others can see through this particular scam doesn't make it not a scam.0 -
Looks like the OP has the 'hump' with Amazon...."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Amazon are just another retailer, I shop there if they're competetive which they often are. However that doesn't change the fact this is a scam.
Expand your horizons beyond the point where you think someone only posts if they have an alternative agenda, not everyone is so shallow.0 -
What's been described in this thread isn't a scam as such, although it is certainly misleading if the shopper believes what they see and don't do their own research.
But then again, almost ALL marketing could be classed as misleading.0 -

Explain please?
Also its not just me saying otherwise, your view does not seem to be aligning with anyone else on this post.
You still have not explained why you think it is a scam, merely repeating the same thing over and over again dont make it so. Where is the fraud here, that is an essential part of a scam?0 -
You're saying that it's irrelevant if the RRP is made up.
I'm saying that by definition if Amazon are offering sales based on a made-up figure, then this is a scam.
I don't see how someone can agree that the RRP is a made-up figure, designed purely to trick people into thinking they're getting a bargain when they pay less than it, then argue that an advertised saving, that is based on a reduction from that false figure ISN'T a scam?0 -

That is a ludicrous statement. All prices everywhere are made up does that mean everything is a scam? From what you written on this thread then I guess you do.Dont rock the boat

Yes, every instance of a made-up price is a scam. A very simple point to grasp.
And in this case it's a particularly bad example since Black Friday is a high-profile sale nowadays & Amazon are a huge retailer.0
