Another £2.10 in the pot today

I tried the new format for the forum but it wouldn't show my picture, so I've gone back to the old format now.

Westie983, your signature looks fine to me :)

Hi there all SPCers! Not raining at present, but I'd imagine there's still more to come! DH is about the same, but he has an appointment on the 19th of next month so we'll hopefully know more then. I hope all our SPC family members are feeling well, if not that some really special {{{Hugs}}} will help. Meanwhile take good care!

...and almost a half less than that now, 32b3!!!! It's going to go sooooo swiftly from here - whoopeeeeeeeee!!!!!! :j :T :j Well done with your £4.50!!!

Hello there, cattysmum! :hello: I'm so pleased to hear your potting's still coming along nicely, and I sincerely hope your plans to return to Florida in 2017 come to fruition! Don't forget to let us know, please. We'll see you again on or around the 5th!

It's good to see you again too, Vicky! Work and life gets in the way for everyone so we do understand what you mean. Still, I knew you'd be back again soon enough and it's great to see you. So your DH too is excited about what might be in your pot, mine's the same and it's wonderful when they share the joy of it all!!! :love:Excitement reigns!!! Well done with your half-term banked savings too!
£5.57 into the pot tonight.Soooo excited for the [STRIKE]Pottersday[/STRIKE]Thursday the 5th :j:j.Will definitely help towards the house renovation costs :T:T.
I am even keeping the afternoon free (self-employed) to count-up.Last year I took a photo of my savings after I had emptied the 3 pots onto the floor. Will try and remember,in the excitement,to do the same again.

It's wonderful to hear all the excitement in your typing, Saver-upper! It's good to know your renovations will benefit from your savings, hopefully help towards getting you in and settled again at a quicker rate too I hope! PS. Don't forget that photo!!!!!

Darn sure every bit helps, Moonbeam. A real shame about the phone bill, but can you not swap over to a firm that has broadband and phone calls all in the same price? We've recently done ours to SSE and are £20 a month better off!! ;)

Kids eh, jakes-mum! It was good to read through and have a happy ending though, bless her. :A Our 9yr old DGS used to love his Teddys...they're all rags 'n tatters now as he loves wrestling and uses poor old Teds as his opponents! It's so comical to watch him throw one in the air, hurl himself sideways then catch it between his knees and slam it down on the sitting room floor for a count of 3!!!!! Our DD's now buying him wrestling buddies for Christmas....just as well before he uses his siblings after Teddies are gone!!! :rotfl:

Sue-UU I haven't forgotten you! Just the above, making me feel meh!

Not to worry, jakes-mum, he's patient and me....well, saint-like as you all know! :rotfl: I do hope your ear gets better soon. My DH has had the mastoids and link bones taken out of both of his, he was in agony for a year before that and always suffered as a kiddie. Your Nurse is right as they would never syringe DH's because of him having a perforated ear drum. Get well soon.

All the best with your pot-filling aim, TheCatsandDogsMother, I hope you're able to fill it to the brim!

A good find, Justforme far better that the £2's in the pot!!!

You stuck to your word, hummingbird, and are now regularly saving well!! Be proud of yourself.

Well done, Dragon Lily, and I heard it fall from here...sort of! ;)

Heya folks I'm really sorry but maternity pay sucks and we have run very low on food / nappies so I have had to open my tins early as completely run out of money. Oh and guess who has been sent on a 4 hour work commute next week with fuel required (although I have been offered a job yesterday pending refrences - it's 3 miles away).

I'll probably not pot anything else for a few weeks for that reason and so Sue-UU my new banked total is £429 for this year. I do have £20.70p in my sealed pot for next year (nothing t fill a money bag).

I'll update my signaure to reflect this. Really sorry to bag up early - I tried not to!

Hope all is well. I'm off to bed with a lemsip; we have a poorly bubba too :(

PS not far off my target - not bad as I've been on materbity leave since Feb :)

Not to worry, Hicksy, at least you've saved bloomin well throughout the year, very well done indeed!!!! :j:T:j I hope you and your little cherub are soon feeling well again. Good luck with the new job too as your current boss doesn't think much of his staff to treat them like that!!!
Potted 5p that I found on the floor in the bank.

What better place to find money eh, Kerry!!! :dance:There's not much that's free in a bank so, very well done on your find!
Well I had some bad news yesterday.....I'm now Diabetic....It hit me like a ton of bricks....BUT, I'm going to fight it....Lose a LOT of weight and get this sorted!! So maybe this is just the kick up the backside that I need!!

I'm also moving this Weekend which I'm sort of looking forward to and feeling sad about all at the same time.....But it has to be done so there is nothing I can do about it....

I'm so sorry to hear your diabetes news, Helen, but looking on the up side, at least you're aware now and can help the Drs treat you by doing all the sensible things, especially in losing weight. :j Try to look forward to your new home being the start of a new beginning in your life, these things are so often meant to be, so look ahead and be happy! :grinheart

Everything looks fine on your siggy to me, Westie, just a mini hiccup perhaps. It's not the first time someone's had problems which have quickly righted themselves. Martin weaving one of his spells no doubt!! :money:

By heck you've been saving like someone possessed, TheDapster, that's the way to do it though! :D I can't wait to see what the 5th brings for you!

Thanks for your thoughts about the new format, siju, I won't even bother then! ;) Good saving, keep it going!

So folks, roughly just 2 weeks (and a day) until declaration day, so still time to save like mad, and whether it's pence or pounds it ALL counts!!!!! :j

Have a great Wednesday, everyone, and still keep feeding them there pots!!!

    Sue xx

ah can sign a sign of relief returned from work to find the forum is back how it was, apparently MSE towers were aware of the issue this morning at 09:00 something about the swear filter...

It was like playing wheel of fortune trying to work out all the words...

    Happy Westie now :-)

Hugs to all and families who are poorly or just in need of one.

Potted a few pounds lately, can't remember how much.

I can't believe opening day is so near. Our savings will be used for day trips or weekends away next year when DH is fully recovered.

    Afternoon

I've weighed my pot. It weight 1 stone 13.5 lbs (approximately 12.5kg)

I have been watching the exchange rate for dollars go up over the course of this week and I think that I need to open the tin now. I will need to pay the change into my account this weekend as I am volunteering next weekend so won't be able to do it then.

Shall I wait until Declaration day to tell you how much it was Sue?

A quick reminder about those all-important bags from the banks, folks, they're vital!!!!! :DDo take note of what it says on the front about the right denominations.

Hello again everyone! I hope you're all well, but if not that some really special {{{Hugs}}} will help put things right for you. Meanwhile take good care of yourselves and come on back to the thread and join in, if you can take your mind off things for a while it has to help - especially with jakes-mum's latest shenanigans! :rotfl: Just don't tell her what I said! :silenced:

Aha! So....we know what happened now then Westie, you and your swearing again mucked things up terribly - tut tut!! At least it's all sorted out now and you'll be behaving again! :rotfl:

Wonderful saving, owlet, and I'm so pleased you don't need to open up early. BTW, no problems about needing to reinstate you next year (which begins on the 6th Nov!) as I just re-do a slightly different 1st Post, then the 2nd one goes on as it is on this one; everyone's transferred over and you don't need to do a thing. :D

Your ways to spend your savings sound perfect, Modesty; sounds as though it'll be a great way to give your DH something to look forward to when he's feeling so much better! :)

You too, siju! It's always lovely to have good times to look ahead to, and that's a great way of doing so. More great savings from you too, so keep on saving and hope for the best for a good Total this year, but whatever it is, you'll have saved it so be very chuffed with yourself, proud too! :j

It's entirely up to you, 32b3, and what's best. Hicksy needed hers and has given me her Total, so if you wish to then please do. Certainly it's best for you to strike while the $s are at their best. WHAT a colossal weight you have in yours!!! :j

I'm thrilled to bits today as my YouGov money has now gone into the bank, so that's £50 to be taken out and put - in the pot!!!!!! :j:j:j

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday, folks, and don't forget just 2 weeks to go!!!
