Morning Everyone
Sorry I haven't Posted in a while....Been a hectic few days!! But good ones too in many ways...
Yesterday was my Cousin's Wedding Day...It was so beautiful, she was so beautiful and her 1 year old little one was happy in my arms and I got to cuddle a lovely happy chubby baby
So when I got home yesterday I Potted £1.40...not bad considering things are quite tight for me this Week...
Today I am only Potting 5p...Still, better than nothing!! I DO have 5 x £1 coins in my Purse but I'm worried that I might need them during the rest of the Week and I've learned that to Pot them and then need them would NOT be a good idea...so I shall keep them for a few days and then see if I can Pot them later in the Week...
Hope everyone is well....I'm doing okay....and feel like I actually had a day off yesterday, which was lovely... xXx0 -
Have potted £6.57. 2p of that was road change.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130

Am back from the little family holiday with 3 x £2 coins and a little bit of schrapnel, no 2ps from the machines as the kids all fleeced me  I think I donated about £10 to those blasted arcades! I and my mum did however thoroughly enjoy stuffing my niece and nephew (and DD!) with icecream, cake and sweets
Hope they are bouncing off the walls for their mum :rotfl:

Hello everyone
Sorry for my recent absence but my mum was rushed to hospital a fortnight ago and things have been all over the place as a result. (She's OK, spent 8 days in pain waiting to be transferred from hospital #2 to hospital #3, which happened today, because hospital #2 refused to treat her without her being seen by her consultant at hospital #3, which has a shortage of beds.
)
No potting has happened -- had to buy new clothes (couldn't chuck things in a suitcase like I normally do as all my suitcases and holdalls were ruined by the leaky roof), pay for train tickets, pay £5 a day bus fare (no, I'm not joking; I wish I was), and extortionate amounts of money at the hospital restaurant -- all in addition to my normal expenditure  I however managed to buy a new pot from £land though and intend to get back into potting (payday on Friday yippee!) as soon as I can. So fingers crossed for a fat pot by the time I get home!
In the interests of being MSE, the Book of Face has acquainted me to a very MSE storage solution: Schwartz glass spice/herb jars! The only problem I have is that I don't have enough and need more! I don't suppose any potters on here know where I can find them (preferably for free or very cheaply)? I need empty jars, not ones with spices / herbs inside, so the supermarkets are no good.
I hope everyone's doing well and hugs to all who need it!

Sorry to hear you've had a rough couple of weeks and glad things are now looking up for you.
Can I ask what you need the jars for?? You can buy cheap jars of spice in A*di atm for 41p each - they come full of spice as wellHowever, if you 'Google' small spice jars there are loads of sites to scroll through. HTH
Found £1.25 in sofas today whilst cleaning so potted
Hope you all having a great week

Evening
£4.60 potted today.
good news on the £10 missjec.
I hope your mum recovers soon Selene x
lol at the filling nieces and nephews up with sugar and then taking them home. I have never done that but I used to buy mine REALLY noisy toys. One particular example was a battery operated ice cream van which, when switched on, bumped into anything which got in its way and screeched "ice cream, ice cream, some and get your ice cream" very loudly for hours on end it you let it. When the first one i bought mysteriously got damaged, I bought another oneEndless hours of fun for me, who obviously lived in a different house

Hi everyone
Day off today so time to remember my password an seeing how you all doing. I finding just lifting my tin an now feeling the growing weight really encouraging. Also found myself folding notes that I have put in in different shapes ..... Funny the patterns that we set up ! Or is it just me? Keep going anyway .0 -
Thank you all for the well wishes
At the moment it's frustrating news but we have our fingers crossed!
lynnejk this is why I want those Schwartz jars!!The picture isn't mine -- it's taken from the "craft, craft and more craft" group on Book of Face -- but those would be ideal for my half pearls and flatback resins which are a part of my crafting hobby and excellent space storage
(They're currently stored in a plastic box with dividers, and once I accidentally tipped the box while trying to open it and scattered them everywhere  3mm and 4mm half pearls are not fun to pick up from the floor and re-sort by colour!) I don't really want to use different jars as I already have some empty Schwartz jars looking to be used and some with spices / herbs inside atm, and I tend to buy Schwartz when buying spices and herbs so using this type of jar would mean that they all match, now and in future
I've already tried Fleabay to no avail
