Well,as I drove the school run this morning,it was so foggy/window still had a little frost on it/kids were noisy in the back seat,so I was concentrating very hard on driving.
When I got back in the car to drive home, there was a £5 note on the dashboard that I hadn't noticed earlier (call yourself a roadkiller,Saver-upper!! :D).Unless the school run fairy has started visiting me (cos I am worth it!!),I assume my OH left it there when he last drove the car-which means there was three car journeys I hadn't noticed it .
    Anyway,potted it :p

Hi can I join in please

I've already got £16.72 in a pot and I've just sellotaped it up

Of course you can join us, jaxsmar and milky1991. A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Morning everyone, I hope you're all doing well this far into the day and that your potting too is going just as well! {{{Hugs}}} to all those in need of them and get well soon to all those who are poorly.

Thank you so much for the help, mcjordi! A great welcome post which earns you a gold star to pop on your siggy. :staradmin

Great savings, Hicks, the lunch too, I'll bet a bob!

I see you've already reached the happy sound so.....even more so that you'll be, AlwaysHappy! ;)

A very good start, SpiralingDown...keep it up!

A bit late I know, 32b3, but have a lovely time with your Sis.
I earned some extra Money today doing a favour for a Friend and I can't Pot all of it as I need some for Shopping later this Week...but I HAVE managed to Pot some of it....but I lost count of what I Potted (I know, I'm a dozy mare :D)....but I think it was about £6 and some change....

    How can I possibly comment on the bit in read, Helen! :p Fingers tightly crossed, but I must admit the un-flagged bloods does sound good, but we'll now hope and pray for the ultimate procedure before becoming complacent. I'm so very proud of you remaining so positive! :kisses3: and {{{Hug}}}

  • Hi!

I am new to this but would love to join!

Infact OH and I had sat down at the weekend and decided to do just this :) (as well as sort out a whole heap of money things!) but going to hopefully add to out pots tonight with the change from our shopping and petrol spend.

We are starting to take the money out again and only spend what is in our hand and the rest will go in the jar hopefully for Xmas pressies next year. Had also see a brill idea about putting away money each week for Xmas so I have a wee fund started for £20 a week in our ISA (and budgeted so I know it fits in with our spending) so we will have the money next year for DD1 & DD2 Xmas without the need for CCs (which we managed to spend on even more this year :( )

Thank You So Much ETO and Sue and Everyone for all your warm thoughts and wishes for me....Now it's just a case of waiting until the 10th when I get my Procedure done and then I guess a week or so after that when I should get the Results....so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, keeping busy and hoping for the best!! :)

*Hugs* to anyone that needs them...It's really lovely to see the Positivity in this Thread and to see if moving so fast....

Today I Potted £15... :D I get my main pay tomorrow so I definitely won't need the money before then....and I have saved a little bit in my Purse for any miscellaneous bits and pieces that I might need over the next few days....just so that I don't have to break into my Pot (which I am DETERMINED not to do this Year!!)...

Not sure when I'll be Potting again....We shall see how the next few days goes with regards to money.... :)

Annie, you have some great ideas in your post, well done. It'll be wonderful if next Christmas all gifts etc are paid for rather than done via CC; good thinking on behalf of you both. :D

Afternoon to you, skilly, that's a lovely lot of cash you're potting. It's so good to see you name gracing the pages again. :)

You sound far more positive full stop now, Helen, remain that way throughout the next year and you'll be cockahoop with what you've saved come November 5th!!! :j If ever you're tempted to move towards the pot...get a vision of ALL of us behind you - then dare touch it!!!!!!
