Hello everyone
DH and I spent a lovely few days away in Madrid. Nearly his 40th birthday, so a lovely treat.
Potted about £5 since we've been back! :j :jSealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
1p found in the washing machine today and DD went to her school disco with her Gran on friday, I gave her all the change I had in my purse (£3.60) for raffle tickets and the like, she comes back at 9pm with a spiderman face  a pirate tattoo and £3 in change which she handed back to me bless her. Gave her a £1 back for her moneybox for being such a good moneysaving girl, £1 back in my purse for 'trolley money' and £1 in the pot
I had to laugh as she said 'mummy, you see this tattoo, they had glow in the dark ones as well, but they were 50p and this one was only 30p so I got this one as 30p is cheaper' . . . know idea who she takes after :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
JakesMum sounds like you have taught her well, lets hope it lasts,
lots of issues with money management or lack of teaching in schools its going to be an issue, Lots of disgruntled parents shouting at us cashiers when their darling 18 year old boy runs up a credit card that they applied for online but we get the agro from it...
I think if every child learns money management we will have less debt or an better idea how to get out of it, or not to get so deep in the first place...

Ahh I wish it was something I could take credit for but it seems to be in her DNA, she has been careful with her money since she first started getting it. Will never forget her standing in a game shop at 4 years old, we had just bought her a DS and she was looking at games to play on it. 'I like this game, and this game mummy' . . me 'ok sweetie, lets go pay' . . her 'will I get any change from my money?' . . me 'no love, you'll actually need to have mummy add a little bit more money to yours to afford both' . . DD puts one game back 'I don't think I want them both mummy, i'll just have this one, i'll get change then' :rotfl:
DS on the other hand, money runs through his fingers like water! they were both raised the same! honest! she's just definitely cut from my cloth, DS was born and bred his fathers side *rolls eyes*SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

That genetics for you, I did laugh, I was one of those kids that came home from school each night to count my money box of all my pennies and write the amount on a yellow posit, and then one day I came home and found a IOU on a pink posit from my dad.... he had no money to pay the milkman.....

Congratulations Hickles.
Jakes-mum, my DD is just the same. If she doesn't have change back from pocket money, she would rather not spend it. Also she keeps so much money in her money box all of us at home owe her some amount most of the time. :rotfl: And it helps her with her Maths!!!SPC 08 - #452 - £415
