No sparky im afraid Sue :( though I think DH would have had a few choice words if i'd have run up to a complete stranger on the New York streets and thrown my arms around them :rotfl: think Sparky would have been a bit surprised as well :rotfl: hopefully he will pop in soon :o

Finally emptied my purse of change and potted it, though now can't remember how much it was :o still haven't potted my £2 coins as I still haven't dragged my £2 coin tin out from its hiding place from when we were away :o

Lol at your daughter Jakes-mum. Kids eh? :D. My nieces used to be outraged when I went without them. It's my own fault though !

Hello lovelies :) hope everyone is doing well, less than eight months till opening day!! :D

Haven't been on here much but have bit potting the odd bit of shrapnel. Got a great roadkill...or should that be trolley kill...today when I finished shopping at Morrisons and put the trolley back. Someone two trolleys before had left their £1 coin....poor little thing all orphaned and on it's own...of course I did the right thing and it is now safely snuggled in my sp with lots of friends to look after it. ;)

My DD got her first choice at secondary school earlier this month so we are all excited in Mossy land. :D She will need to get the train in to school each day (only two stops so not far) but it will cost around £50 a month!! On the plus side DH just renegotiated one of his contracts and on top of a small hourly increase they have also agreed an additional amount which works out at....drum roll please.....the amount we'll need to pay DD's train fare each month!! Feeling very blessed by that as the extra bit was unexpected. :A :p
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

Morning all, hope all are well. Looks like another nice day here.

32b3in2013 - nice to hear your next day was better. Hopefully no more "hell" days. We all get them from time to time and they are not good or wanted. Take care.

  • So curiosity got the better of me and opened my holiday pot a couple of weeks early but never mind. Had £78 in it, plus a load of coppers which I put into a new pot and the rest I changed up and put away for holiday next month.

Just phoned HMRC so I could claim uniform allowance but got told I couldn't how ever I can claim Union fees and a shoes and socks allowance (no I'm not making that up ) won't be much but hay £'s are £'s. I recommend anyone who works in a uniform phone em up (0300 200 3300) and have a chat. Hope this helps someone else.
