  • Hello fellow Pot-heads,:rotfl: happy payday (if applicable).

Hope everyone is potting what they can, I have potted more than Ronnie O'Sullivan this week, mainly lose change complete with fluff from my jeans pockets. To top it off I have £4.77 left over from this weeks emergency dinner money.

He lines it up... and into the pot it goes, the crowd goes wild

A good evening to you all, SPCers, and I hope today will be a good one for us all. To all those not be feeling great or who have problems, take great care and here's hoping you will be very much better soon or that things will turn out well. For now, here are some special SPC {{{hugs}}} to help you through the rough times. Take care, all Potters, save cash as often as possible!

Sue-UU and Westie, I already have a 99p tin from the card shop (and before that, a £1 tin from Poundland) but the terramundi would look so pretty

I've noticed that coins tend to take up more space in my pot than notes, and I'm in the habit of emptying my bank account the day before payday so notes go in then (Had over £140 to take out the day before Jan's payday... I don't think the cashier would be happy if I asked for that amount in coins :rotfl:) and I tend to overestimate money required for food/bills so sometimes have a note left over to put in. :)

Sue-UU, I promise to keep a close eye on my budget. To be fair, it was the Harry Potter studio tour shop and I don't get to have a trip out with my best friends (as we're scattered all over the country) that often. Next one isn't until May, and that's surely justifiable as it's to celebrate my birthday?? :A

Getting back to the topic, I think I'll have to leave the terramundi. Ah well, on I can pot the money I was going to spend on it instead :)

Why not leave your pots as they are for this year, Miami, and change around in November so you have coins in your Terramundi and notes in the tins. Please though, if you really love your Terramundi then don't risk shattering by putting a hole in the bottom! :( One wrong tap and it'd be curtains for your beautiful pot!!! :cry:If you need more than one, put some hints out for your Birthday.

To the budget part: Ah well, if you're talking Birthdays and your own (!!) then that's a different matter - enjoy it when it comes! :D

Gave DH a haircut at home and potted £5. That is what he normally pays the hairdresser. The haircut took me just 10 min (there wasn't much to start with:D)

Brilliantly done, Baby Angel!! See how SPC makes you think potting means £££s!! :j

No matter how much the correct amount in your pot is, Save Dosh, it's the saving that counts and it's YOURS! Be proud and save when you can. ;)

It's so good to hear that your little darling is doing so well, Loveactually!! :A Doesn't 3 months ever go quick though!

VERY well done with checking your banking app at bed time and transferring the odds bellow a £1 into savings, Daddybear; any savings is good, but regularly is always better if possible!

Morning all, woken up to the "smog" here. Hope it clears and is as warm as yesterday.

Wasn't that awful, Lynsey, our weather chap said last night that it was pollution coming all through the country and would still be here today, but not quite so bad. I wonder why it wasn't warned about on the main weather/news as he said folk with respiratory problems shouldn't be out in it. Too scared I guess! All the best with the Easyjet bargains, don't let the council tax bill spoil things!

Great work with the Euromillion win, Modesty, every little bit helps! :T

Just like a [STRIKE]bad[/STRIKE] lovely penny, mention her name and up pops, jakes-mum! :j I'm so thrilled you & DH had such a lovely time, though it would have been nice if you'd let us know you were going so we could have shared some of the excitement. Next time maybe - please? :D

Well done on having £31, Vicky, and thanks for popping it on your siggy!

So then, Ruth...you have plenty of spare time to fill right? I know, shut up!! I hope all your charges are well now.
Just noticed I had a gold star yesterday. I'm not sure what they are for but thanks Sue :D

I don't recall what it was for now, Dragon Lily, but they're mostly given out for giving lovely, warm and thorough welcomes (the 1st) to new members or for good deeds to any of our SPC family.

So, there's now a saving buget for you, NotNormal, and you beat it, fantastic!!! :T A good deal on the Planner also!
Just £1 potted so far this week. If I get to the end of tomorrow with the £15 in my purse then I will pot the £5.

Aha! So, fingers crossed for no spends, or few spends tomorrow then, ETO, I sincerely hope you're able to pot the £5er!! :D

What a splendid find, Saver-upper, I bet you still go on decluttering!!! :j

You're saving well, Lizzie, stay as potty as you are.....

....you too, savings my hobby. I love your last sentence and can just imagine you scoring a 147 any day now!

I can't believe it....DH & I had just gone out to walk our Jessie and at the bottom of the lane DH found a scruffy piece of paper in a small hole in the tarmac; no big deal if he hadn't felt it was hard - inside was a £1, a 50p, a 10p and a 2p!!!!! :j  He was quite chuffed, I was absolutely delighted at such a find and so close to home. Obviously someone had wrapped it up for safe keeping, but......! ;) Ooops, nearly forgot.....plus £15 in the pot for this week after shopping!!!

Have a super Friday evening, SPCers, and a BRILLIANT WEEKEND!!! You're all saving so very well!!

    Sue x

Just went to pot the pound coins in my purse, thinking I had a couple and found I had £7! Put them in my lovely piggybank before I was tempted to keep them in my purse for spending!

    Happy weekend everyone.

Evening all, a lovely day here and spent most of if tarting up some fencing!! Hope the weather lasts for a few weeks, shouldn't be long now until we can get the loungers out and sit out in the garden.

2 more £1 coins potted and hopefully more tomorrow.

Have a great weekend and be lucky.

    Hey All

Thank you for the well wishes.

Can't remember what I have and haven't shared but here goes:

    - moved into my own place last week. Took 3 days in the end as mostly doing on my own and I was a bit wobbly falling a fall down the stairs earlier in the week oh and being 38 weeks pregnant.

    - now 39 weeks and no sign of baby but I am going to slow down a bit now.

    - for those of you who remember the thefts I had at the other house - no money ever returned and my rings that disappeared were proven not to be in the bedroom. I am still sure that the thief who stole from me in April and the boyfriend in the summer is the same who stole my rings in November.

    - and as of 9am this morning I am completly debt free - paid off my car and saved myself nearly £700 in interest :)

Hope you are all ok and as per mypromise I am online that little bit more (well until baby is here....) - £2.03p to the pot.

    Have a good weekend :)
