Took advantage of the Bank Holiday and 100 FL and managed to add 15 items!

No bids yet but a couple of watchers on a couple of bits, so fingers crossed!

My 8 April listings end tomorrow so, hopefully, there'll be a few pennies coming our way soon :)

Another sale today so another few pounds in bank so not far off my 2nd £100 for my holidays. Got a bid on another item, just need a few more and bobs ur uncle and f***nys ur aunt as they say up north!!!
Sending it by courier (first time I've done this and it seems very straight forward and a lot cheaper than RM for heavier items). So fingers crossed all goes ok.
Will try and list some more next week when rest of my stuff ends.

Sometimes life gets in the way but a little every now and again is my motto!!
    Have a good weekend everyone:)

EBay/EBain of my life. One minute I love it, the next I am puzzled by why my rather decent reasonably priced item fails to sell! Ah well... Onwards eh? I have my £500 target this month and that won't achieve itself.

Have to confess my new addiction is hearing the cash register trill sound that my phone makes when anybody places a bid.

Hi esbm...why do you think your items fail to sell? I'm quite new to eBay...I don't get it..then when I relist sometimes they sell just fine. People seem to want stuff v cheap...is that right?

I would also like to join. We are currently buying a house and I need to start a serious clear out. This will also contribute some money towards our move. I would like to aim for 15 items. I currently have 3 listed.

Yes I think that's the main reason. I'm really trying to start things at prices that I think are reasonable and not greedy. I have a rule to myself that after about 3 re-lists, I start dropping the price if it's something I'm really keen to get rid of, or just persist re listing if I don't want to be totally ripped off.

  • I agree some people do want something for nothing and yet sometimes' I've put something on for 99p because I didn't think it was worth much more and there's been a bidding frenzy and it's sold for £5 or £10 and then I worry in case they are not happy when they receive it - I've always had good feedback from them but it still stresses me out until they give it.

But on the other hand in the days when we got regular free listing, some of my stuff was relisted for over 2 years and then all of a sudden 2 people would bid on it!!! Weird

So I don't think there is a hard and fast rule but think I agree with esbm about dropping the price unless you're happy to keep relisting. :):)

I made about £80 this last week on the house clearing sales, and about £250 the week before. That was bumped up by a couple of big items...one of which got damaged enroute to Switzerland. Oh grief!

Onwards though, am making a claim from the transport company. No doubt I will have broken some unknown packaging law though and will get zip all. The whole process has been so difficult to claim...process almost seems designed not to work.
