We also don't have zip codes or states. Strangely, the US does.0 -
Probably not what you want to hear if you are waiting for something from the US (especially as you didn't know beforehand that that is where the delivery was from). I ordered something from the US for OH for xmas two years ago, I ordered in the middle of October and tracked it as far as Fort Worth by mid November, it didn't actually arrive here until late January.
I'm sure OH thought I was lying about one of his gifts not turning up for that long until he actually got it and knows that it could only have come from one place in the US.0 -
Give the Op a break he/she is from Ipswich and likes picnics without sandwiches0

I have just re-checked and it isn't pre-set for the USA and it doesn't have any reference to USA$ it does have a drop down box but the default is UK. You must be on the USA site or an employee of Bits & Pieces0

I bow down to your articulate manner and intellect Photome. Is it true what they say about Norwich?0

I ordered something from America, paid $4.95 for delivery, and it arrived in a week.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

So three of us can see things that you can't?
1 - Went to UK site (bitsandpiecesuk.co.uk)
2 - Added random item to basket
3 - Went to basket
4 - Clicked on 'calculate shipping costs' .........
Where the first box asks you to enter your zip (American equivalent of post code)
Where the United States is the default for the box where you select your country
Where in the box for 'select method' one of the options is "Free Shipping with $25 minimum" - the dollar not being the primary currency of the United Kingdom
Where there is an additional note:Note: Taxes may be applied to your order total and/or shipping total based on your shipping and/or billing state.
In the UK we have counties rather than states, however the United States does, surprisingly, have states. The taxes this note refers to will be Sales and Use Tax - the American equivalent of VAT and which varies not only from state to state but also county to county within a state.
Of course, as an employee of Bits and Pieces, I am being paid to make this all up.0 -
PS - I got the same information on two different browsers (Silk and Firefox)
.... and Explorer0 -
Why do some posters post questions on forums when all they want is a nodding dog to sit in front of them, maybe Bits & Pieces have one you can order.0
