Hi Fruball - lentil soup sounds good
is it possible to have your recipe? I am GF and have to make my own (which is much tastier) as wheat seems to be in everything or non GF lentils. Thank you

Hi Fruball- if the packaging is the stuff we’ve acquired from others, sort of like a hairy thick felt sheet, then I suggest you investigate making a kind of “haybox” to hold your thickest heaviest lidded pot, to reduce how long you need to use the hob or oven for a stew or soup or overnight porridge (or overnight breakfast-soup!).We use ours in summer, inside an insulated coolbag and with freezer-blocks, to keep food colder for longer.
and if you have plenty, you could cut it up and sew it into warm over-slippers for wearing when sitting- or if sewing is out, you could cut it into insoles, or simply staple it into a larger envelope to put both feet into! It will make a difference if it’s the real wool stuff- lucky you!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Lovely warm sun here in Sussex today. I've been weeding the leek patch. Looking forward to leek and potato soup throughout the winter.
Stacked a few more logs in the woodshed. Sis is a gardener so I often get wood from her. Collected some pinecones on a walk for kindling.

Free flu jabs at the GP surgery on Friday. It has been years since I had flu last, and then it took about three months to feel reasonably well again, so a sore arm and minor side effects are worth it to reduce the risk.10

.Im moving house next weekend (bit sooner than I expected) so I will have to so the new place compares to this one. Im moving from a 2 bed house to a 2 bed ground floor flat but the square footage is the same so I hope it wont be much more expensive. Rent is the same but council tax is higher even though Im moving from a house with a garage in council tax band C to a flat in council tax B but im moving to a different area, Its been empty a couple of months so I may need to have the heating on more than normal to get it warmed up.so hope the weather doesn't get too chilly too soon, I haven't had to have the heating on much here apart from testing the heating last week so lets hope its the same at the new place.10

Good luck with the move! Don’t forget to pack a bag with tea bags, kettle, cups, toilet paper, undies, and bedding to ease the process xAuntycaz said:Lancashire

Mortgage freedom January 2024 - paid off 7 years early by making overpayments where we could.10 -
@Nelliegrace i read that if you exercise your arm gently after the injection it reduces the risk of pain or stiffness. It worked for me. I don’t know if there is any science behind it but I am happy even if its a placebo.10

@Auntycaz - might want to include a torch and extra batteries too, especially to keep next to the bed - until you are used to finding the light switches.9

Recharged the batteries for the bright shed light, which gives wider light than torch. I keep one of these by the bed, it is very useful for finding small, dropped items like hearing aid batteries.
