A question do you all take notice of dates on tins? Tomatoes beans etc6 -
I look at the dates, but then look at the tin and then when opened contents. I ate some tuna that was a year OOD a couple of weeks ago and was fine, but it looked/smelt and tasted like 'normal' tuna. Things like tomatoes and beans I think you'd be able to tell, though I think the meat stew from Friday Night Dinner was a stretch too far!

I'm not strict about dates, @luvchocolate. I'd look at the condition of the tin, too: if it was dented I'd be wary and if it had blown, I'd bin it, but it's rare for tins to go out of date here.
Good idea to start on the change-over between summer and winter clothes, though I think it will only be the ones for really hot weather that I would pack right now - still hoping for a few more warm days!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Good to see you don't take much notice on dates on tins4 -
Hi guys
I’m that sad person that rotates my food every week. Tins move down the cupboard and new at the top and in the freezer I eat from the top down and new stuff goes in the bottom 😀

Don’t forget to check your central heating too guys. If you leave it until it’s freezing you’ll have a long wait for the repair man 🥶

I had the chimney swept today so that's all ready for lighting. The thicker door curtain has been put up and we've started closing the curtains again at night. Definitely much cooler and damper this week.2

Agreed it is cooler as had 2x cardies on today 🤣
just a tip - we got our chimney swept back in June - as sweeps in our area charge on average 1/3 less March- August.
