Preparing for Winter V

I did order some bedding from Amazon yesterday. We went for a 10.5 duvet as I dont like feeling too hot and we can add extra blankets. I bought some new white duvet covers and a white snuggly throw too.
The only thing is that my dog sleeps in our bed so white will be harder to keep clean!5 -
I think because she would rather keep her duvet for here, we don't have any spares (other than v thin summer togs) and no single duvets, so we'd have to buy one anyway so may as well buy a single as it's cheaper.
She doesn't drive and will be coming back by train/coach so it's not practical to lug between the two:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20175 -
I wouldn't send her with an expensive wool duvet it will probably have liquid of some description spilt on it at some stage! I think you can get All Season Duvets which add up to 15 Tog so a 10.5 plus a 4.5. If the halls are well heated the 10.5 might be enough but she has the added security of knowing she can add the 4.5 - which would be good on its own in summerIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!8

Ooh that's a good idea, didn't think of that. She'll probably use both all the time, she literally rolls herself up like a sausage:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20175

Can she stay in hall for all three year?Halls are usually fairly warm but if she has to go into a house or flat after her first year she might need the extra warmth.5

No, she wants to go into a house for the other years, her brother has stayed in halls and it has made things much cheaper and easier:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20174

Bedkstar. If you daughter has access to hot water a hot water bottl might also be appreciated.4

I would second buying her a double duvet if she runs cooler - Asda usually have their student offers on around now so a couple of sets of their double bedding won't be too much more expensive than single.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

We've actually got tons of double duvet covers/sheets too anyway so that would help as well:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20175

My advice to my DGS was to get a double duvet for a single bed , also only have 2 plates, bowls and mugs, ( you have to wash up but never have to do very much so it only takes a few minutes). He said both pieces of advice were invaluable!9
