I have turned the central heating on again, just for 15 minutes in the morning. It's just 13C here in the mornings; I'm not coping well with those temps.

we drove yesterday from Edinburgh to the Midlands and the air-temps varied from 17 in the suburbs to 13 less than half an hour’s drive south and no higher altitude… we stopped for me to swim in a reservoir and the water temp of 16.8°C was warmer than the 14°C air at 4:30pm!We still have our windows wide here in the W.Midlands but it has been close to 20°C all day here, so…2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Despite a very pleasant long weekend down the beach, the clouds certainly arrived as I drove into work this morning.
I think its a good time of year to dehumidify the car as I'm getting quite a bit of moisture on the windows first thing in the morning.7 -

The other trick we found helpful when our car had a damp problem was to leave a towel along the dashboard overnight, as the towel has a massive surface area with all those little tiny bits sticking up to form the towelling, so it absorbs a lot of moisture; then we brought the towel in and dried it bone-dry in the dryer before putting it back down again overnight. After a few nights it had pretty much cured the problem.2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

I'm now stuck with thinking the 'little tiny bits sticking up to form the towelling' are papillae. Oh dear.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
