*I've started knitting my 17 Yr old upstairs cat, Freddie, a blanket. I got 400g of moss coloured chunky wool for £2 from charity shop today and thick needles.
He was cold to the touch last night and I'm not keeping the heating on 24/7 anymore.
*And got pooshka the stray a new blanket for £1 from charity shop too to go in hi bed. I saw they are saying snow is coming.6 -
Fiona my cat is 20 and I put a hot water bottle under a blanket In her bed for really cold weather! I do have a radiator bed for her but once the heating goes off I put her a HWB in there.Living the simple life9

Over the weekend I'm sorting the back bedroom out. Saturday will be going through the wardrobe and chest of drawers, mainly to see if there is anything in there I can wear/use/throw away this winter and under the bed to see what's actually under there! Sunday I will put the winter bedding on, get the fleeces put in the end of the bed and give it all a good clean. Eldest dgd often stays so I don't want her getting cold!!
I also have quite a lot of odd balls of wool, so I'm going to start crocheting a blanket for downstairs and it will keep me warm whilst making it. I can't think of anything else other than candles I really need as I'm gradually upping my pantry goods and the freezer is full, I have all the usual gloves, medicines etc but will keep reading on here to jog my memory fir things I have forgotten.

I successfully taught a friend to knit this afternoon, via Zoom, so she can better prepare for winter!
She's knitting in the round, cosy ankle-warmers in a k2p2 rib in warm Shropshire Ply Aran-weight wool from Ewe & Ply - already an inch or more!
