Ha ha yes, i t hink there might be something in that.  Anyhoo the shop was shut so we are spared a while longer..  However, we will be collecting the wood at the weekend so we will need to be prepared (although we don't actually have the logstore yet..)

@VJsmum - my log stores are made out of old pallets, OSB, roofing felt and some old battens (you could also use bits of pallet to hold the felt down, but we ran out).

@Greenglockenspiel - I was going to have insulation put in but it will add a number of weeks to get the job done and I'm so fed up with it now I just want it done 🙈 I know that's not a good reason but I really am at the end of my tether with it all - he is checking delivery dates for me today so he'll probably give me dates for with and without- I'll decide when he let's me know the difference in time frames! I'd rather have it with but in all honesty, we spend very little time in the kitchen now that the household has shrunk and when we're in there I'm generally cooking anyway so it gets too hot! 😂 
Today has been a day of doing lots and achieving little due to other people's availability 🙈 I'll be glad when it's done and I can set fire to stuff in the garden! 😂

I feel you, I first started making enquiries with roofers when we moved here in November and it took this long to be able to book anyone in! On Saturday I booked a plasterer in for this Friday and OH was dithering because it’s so soon and I pointed out we’ve been planning to have it done for 8 months and he quoted a price we’re willing to pay so I didn’t see the point of waiting any longer 🤔

I use these https://www.lakeland.co.uk/32214/Silicone-Cupcake-Cases-%E2%80%93-Pack-of-6 for freezing. I was making a brioche the other day that needed egg yolks so i froze the egg whites in these. I would say they were about 2 thirds full so should fit a whole egg in (i use large eggs if that helps)
