I don't think there's any need to be rude/obnoxious about it. It's the last thing he needs.
Sorry to say it, but looks like you've brought at the wrong time and will have to accept your loss.
I know it's awful, but it's done now. If it's any consolation, in 20 years time it'll probably be worth several times what you paid for it.0 -
Looks like we're going to see a lot more of these threads soon. I hope all the bitter long term HPCers aren't going to pop over all over the place gleefully rubbing salt into peoples wounds.0

Oh, so 10 years of gloating isn't enough for you people?
I don't remember any of us "doom mongers" asking for compensation from Barratt Homes every time the price of their brick hutches went up, thereby reducing the value of our savings.
One rule for the property inflation nutters, one rule for the rest.
Sorry - have I hurt your feelings? Maybe you'd like to phone claims direct.0 -
What?? Are you guys for real?
Getting even with who? Property inflation nutter?
Find one post where I, or the OP gloated about anything?
Well?
I for one feel sympathy for people priced out of the market and people that get screwed in the meltdown.
As for the demonstration of not being bitter...0
