It will be the free 100 gig not the 100mb simIt's not just about the money0 -
Well, two of my contracts will fill the gap at the end of May until at least this time next year. I therefore haven't gone for the free 12 month sim only contract with a small profit. It goes against my priniciples not to make a profit - that alone pay anything - so will give this one a miss too. Still, my main priority today was grabbing 3 99p unlocked phones I can sell for around £20 net profit each. Out of stock now I'm afraid - they only had 100.0

It will be the free 100 gig not the 100mb simMaybe I should have raised this offer as a separate thread, instead of adding to this one. I'll contact Browntoa later to discuss possibly splitting it.0

The sim arrived today, I managed to cancel their £10 pack they preloaded by topping up £5 and then adding the £1 pack instead.
I now have 100.1GB allowance to play with.====0 -

1.Why would it come with £10 on it
2.Why didn't that qualify you for the offer
3.Won't data be taken from the
remaining £4 first as per their t & c?
(I haven't topped up a phone for several years, and that was by using a code printed on paper.)0 -

You are really confused. I'll answer your questions:
1. It doesn't come with £10, it comes with a £10 pack preloaded that they expect you to pay for by topping up £10. It then gives minutes and texts.
2. What offer did you think I should qualify for? The promo is £100 GB data for 2 months, there is no other offer.
3. Data is never taken from credit on EE, you have to have a data pack to use data (not a problem here, as EE are giving the 100GB pack free)====0 -
OK I see that you can use minutes and texts directly from your credit, or/and you can buy a package with cheaper prices but also with a time limit.
But in the very first link in this thread, it tells you to 'Top up
£10 before midnight on the
day after you activate your
SIM, it will be used
automatically to buy 30 days
of 250 minutes and
unlimited texts. '
Scroll down and click 'Full terms and conditions >' and it states
'If you do
not top up £10 or more
when you first put your SIM
in your phone you can buy a
Talk and Text Pack after this
period by topping up £10
then texting TTP10 to 150.'
I don't see anything that suggests this extra £10 topup is voluntary, such as an 'If you' in front of the first quote.0 -

It's voluntary, just difficult to avoid though. What EE have done is queue the £10 pack on the sim, so anyone who tops up £10 or more will find the first £10 disappears for the preloaded pack you might not want.
You can get around it by registering online and only topping up £5 and then buying a £1 pack (10min/10text/100MB) it automatically cancels the £10 pack that EE preloaded.====0 -

I got my sim yesterday but haven't used it yet. Do I have to top it up? I only want to try the data speed out really, no plans to use 100 GB. I've got unlimited data with Three at the moment.0
