Well Mr Straw Man, if you read back through things I never argued that private companies should be allowed to administer charges, I merely said people shouldn't park selfishly nor inconsiderately and those that do would be deserving of a fine.

There is also no indication that the OP parked selfishly or inconsiderately at this stage.

Yes, if they authorised to do so and are properly regulated.

The lines are there for a reason my friend. Otherwise they wouldn't bother painting them. That would be fun!

Some people who receive these charges might well believe that they are, so just a point of information, nothing more.
