Did a pretty advanced and strengthening yoga session. Could feel the back twinging in the beginning but relaxing minute after minute. By the end I was as good as new and felt amazing. Was a tough one, sweaty and all.
We then went to the lake and did a very leisurely 5k walk. So many beautiful dogs around, I really want a pet. Fingers crossed it won't be long :A
About to sit down to a dinner of chicken and ratatouille. It's amazing :j Gonna be so happy. Finish off with some 100% chocolate and that's as good as it gets for me :T
Maybe I'll do some reading tonight. I'm feeling very happy and peaceful in myself. Had a realisation today (happens quite often :rotfl:) of just how blessed I am in every single way. Nothing like being grateful to allow the positivity to come in. I was slightly hesitant at the beginning of this week, weighing up my options, thinking what's next. And then it took me something like not being able to move to realise that I'm paralysing myself and there are only positive and happy options ahead. However, to be able to achieve them, I need to keep the right attitude at all times. Which will now be my aim0 -
What a lovely chilled out weekend.
Really didn't get up to much today. Went to the cinema to watch the Jurassic World - it's fantastic, really enjoyed it.
Apart from that, we just spent the day playing games and eating :rotfl: Not bad at all.
Friend confirmed that he can have DS on Saturday so I'll try to book my CBT tomorrow :T:T:T Fingers crossed, so excited
About to do a core and booty yoga sesh. Need to step it up, I've not been aching so there's room to push harder. Though I'm sure I'll be on the floor after Tuesday's KB.0 -
Did yoga last night and couldn't walk down the stairs this morning - mission accomplished :rotfl:
Will do arms and abs tonight instead.
Went around all the shops I needed to to get all the bits of food for this week. Strawberries from Aldi are amazing, I love berries
Got my ASOS order delivered. Kept a pair of jeans, 3 tops, earrings and a ring - really happy with that, £91.80 spent. Need to go back for shoes though.
Not much else going on. CBT was fully booked for this weekend so back to my friend on the next one he can do. Hanging in there patiently
Weather is amazing. Whenever the summer is in full swing it makes me think of datingI would love to go on a date this week or even just this month. I'm not gonna use the apps though or websites so what does that leave me? Friends? DS's rugby practice? :rotfl: Will keep an eye out, going on dates and getting to know people is one of my favourite things.

Good news - booked the CBT for 1st July. I'm beyond excited, absolutely cannot wait.
Went kickboxing tonight. The yoga session I did on Sunday has me not being able to get up off the sofa so I was worried they'd do legs. But luckily it was all upper body, a million of press-ups and the rest. It was fun, I enjoyed it but I feel it's a bit too serious for me, most people there were training for competitions and it was very disciplined. And I'm just not good at being told what to do. AT ALL :rotfl:
So I'll be sticking to yoga. But I'll be so sore tomorrow.
Ordered a few more things from ASOS. That should do for summer/autumn.
Not much else to report, I'm now shattered. Bath and bed :A0 -

So looks like the £12 will truly last me the week, amazing  Made fluffy pancakes tonight, really hit the spotNSD again today, though I'm not counting them this month.
Well done! That's the way to do it!
Loved your title. We are owned by three cats (all rescues) and wouldn't be without them. Cats are a luxury that's worth every penny.:grouphug:0 -
Hey JayWalker we are still waiting to buy the cats but it won't be long now. Tonight, we are going to a cat cafe where DS will spend an hour stroking every cat that doesn't walk away :rotfl: Cats really are a luxury, they're an absolute treasure :A
Not had much to report hence no posts.
Went for lunch with a friend yesterday, always have the best time with him. Laughed non-stop the whole time.
Then last night I cleaned the whole apartment spotless as there was an inspection this morning. All went well and now I have the benefits of a very clean home
For lunch I made this risotto https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/creamy-courgette-risotto OMG it was absolutely exquisite, I could not stop eating. Will have the rest for lunch tomorrow but this is by far the best risotto I've ever had, yum :T
Don't have any concrete plans for this weekend but we'll definitely get out. Next week is busy with a parent's evening, school open day and I'm going out on Sat too. But overall, everything is going smoothly. I'm just waiting on my last exam results on 5th July to decide on what I'm doing next.
Been doing yoga every day. All of the aches are gone now so time to step it up again tonight, something a bit more intense.0 -
Oh my gosh, the cat cafe was so much fun last night. DS stroked all that weren't asleep and stalked them all over the place :rotfl: They were all so cute but some more sociable than others.
Last night I got quite a few beauty bits and bobs done. There was waxing, plucking, trimming involved as well as a face mask. And I had a new Essie nail varnish to try and it's absolutely delicious:D:D It's slightly off-pink but all silver, gorgeous (it's called S’Il Vous Play if anyone is looking for a new fave). I'm in love :smileyhea Then DS asked me to do his toes
So it was all about beauty last night.
We're about to go out rollerskating for a couple of hours, that'll be fun :j Haven't been in a little while.
Ate up some leftovers for lunch, I think we'll either have a curry or pork chops for dinner.
Still trying to decide on a date we can all go camping - there's too many of us and everyone has different obligations. I've now set up a poll as I've had enough :rotfl:0 -
Roller skating was so much fun. They always play great music which makes me very happy
What was really nice to see this time was that I was not the only adult on the dance floor. Usually it's just kids and parents watch or sit on their phones for 2hrs which I always find quite sad. But this time there were a few other adults that joined their kids in having fun and I find that fantastic. We don't stop being children at heart no matter how old we getWell, I don't anyway. In fact, I'm getting worse (or better, whichever way you look at it :rotfl:) as I get older and I want to do more and more different things.
Afterwards, we went to the place that serves meatballsDS had some but couldn't finish so that ended up being both of our dinner. And now we're home chilling. I'll do a total body yoga sequence tonight and that's pretty much it. I've managed to do yoga every day in June so far - that was one of my goals for the month and is big for me as routine is not always my strongest point.
Swimming tomorrow, more fun to be had.0 -
Swimming was fantastic. DS ended up pulling me all over the place on his back :rotfl: Could not stop laughing. We were starving afterwards. Popped into a supermarket, got a few bits of food. Now full and settled at home.
Something came up today. As we were driving home out of nowhere DS went: 'I really do miss California. It's amazing there, when can we go back next?'. I've been thinking about CA most days since we went. I know it might sound weird to some but I have never felt more at home than when we were there. Everything felt so right and close to heart. We loved the nature, people, culture and food. I knew before we even went there that I wanted to move to CA and that has never changed. Every time I think of it I get a pang in my stomach. I feel like we should be there. I didn't book a holiday for this year as I knew I was leaving my job and I couldn't justify such an outlay. But I want to go back ASAP. And stay. I always said I'd do it when I'm qualified so July is the decision month.0 -
Parent's evening tonight. It went well, DS has exceeded his yearly targets and the teacher has no concerns whatsoever. All good on that front
The Funzing event has been cancelled, that's a bit disappointing but never mind. Will book onto something else.
Have pretty much spent all day talking rubbish with my friend :rotfl: Didn't get much done apart from making lunch and that's fine by meWill get into a hot bath and read one of the books I want to finish before the end of June.
Another 1lb lost, getting closer to my target. Exercise has been helping me to tone up as well as lose weight. A friend has challenged me to a Transformation July. I will join a gym for 1 month and do weights 3 days a week. Other 4 days I'll be doing yoga. He tells me that I tone and grow muscle quicker than anyone else he's seen and he wants to see the results we could achieve in such a short amount of time. So I said GAME ON :rotfl: My diet is already pretty perfect so I won't need to change that, just the gym. Will take before and after pics obviously (very very sad)
Going out on Sat night and school open day on Thursday. Apart from that, I'm a free bird0
