POPLA is the independent appeals service for parking tickets issued by BPA operators (of which UKPC is one). It is the place where, with our help, 99% of appellants have had their appeals upheld.

Did you get a response from UKPC to your initial appeal?

PS - the NEWBIES sticky need to be read horoughly, just scanning it won't help you fully.

No response from UKPC from the initial appeal. Sorry, yes, I will try harder. I will try to get my head around it all.

Cool thanks for the popla info.

If you've received no response to your appeal - did you post it to them with proof of postage from the PO, or did you email it - you need to complain to the BPA and DVLA (email addies in post #6 of the NEWBIES sticky) that the PPC has referred this to debt collectors while your initial appeal to them has not been responded to.

The BPA has intervened on many occasions with similar situations, forcing the PPC to issue a POPLA code. This is the best opportunity now to get this kicked into the long grass.

    Hi all,

Received a letter today from DRP (Debt Recovery Plus Ltd) saying they have been referred this matter due to not receiving payment. And its gone up £60, now £160! And if I dont pay court action is threatened.

    Again, your opinions are appreciated
You can safely laugh at any letter from these idiots, and their other guise Zenith Collections.

As you didn't get proof of posting, don't say anything about that. Just complain that you appealed on time (advise the date you posted it) and that UKPC have not responded to it.

Hmmm...UKPC tickets can be appealed online easily (as long as they aren't ANPR versions which are different). Bung in a copy of the appeal online now, today.

    Despite this advice:

The Newbies thread explains why you wait. Forget the discount bribe, they do that deliberately. The driver DOES NOT appeal. The keeper does, once they get the first letter in the post around Christmas/New Year. All explained in the Newbies thread

I can't see why you ignored the Notice to Keeper at first (the first letter)?

And then why send a letter snail mail, when the 'online appeal option' is clearly stated on the PCN and it's actually quite a useful website, shows you the photo 'evidence' and all, as soon as you put your VRN in.

Would have been cancelled by now! So do the online appeal anyway like you should have done all along straight after that first letter arrived.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Ok so i look up the web address ukpcappeals.co.uk and it says "Unfortunately we are unable to accept this Appeal as the Parking Charge Reference number has now been referred to our Debt Recovery Team" after punching in the details.

Do I contact the debt recovery team and say my appeal in writing has been ignored?

edit: nvm, Im looking at the popla site now
