UKPC read these. If you think the driver could be identified, go back and edit all posts.

Hi again everyone, Im just posting here again after I got through a "final reminder" letter from ukpc and was wanting to double check Im doing the correct thing.

Ive read the sticky, and as I have no experience with the law, I do find it a little baffling, but do I just print out the template letter, fill in the bits relevant to me, and send it off?

I really appreciate everyone who has replied already, many thanks for your time!

Send it from a Post Office first class and get a free certificate of posting (very important.) Do NOT send recorded delivery as if the PPC refuse to sign for it they hay proof it wasn't received.

Use all the appeal points even if you think they may not apply.

So you've received nothing else since the original ticket?

If so, then yes, simply grab a template, read it carefully to edit or remove anything not applicable, and send it orf.

I recieved a letter addressed as "notice to keeper" which arrived end of December, then another letter this morning saying "final reminder" which is essentially the same letter as far as I can tell, but with red writing on it.

So respond to the notice to keeper (you are still within the deadline) and use the template appeal (edited carefully if necessary). DO NOT PROCRASTINATE AND MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY.

The 2nd letter is just their usual threatogram and can be ignored.

    Hi all,

Received a letter today from DRP (Debt Recovery Plus Ltd) saying they have been referred this matter due to not receiving payment. And its gone up £60, now £160! And if I dont pay court action is threatened.

    Again, your opinions are appreciated

Did you appeal as per post #17?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • They say that to scare you. Did you appeal to UKPC? Did you demand a POPLA code should the appeal be refused? That was the best way to stop it all. For now just ignore all letters from debt collection agencies. They're powerless but irritating.
