Aww these ideas are amazing. My little boy is a bit too young at the moment (20 month) but it's something I'm going to keep in mind:starmod:If you dance with the devil, the devil don't change. The devil changes you:starmod:0

mine has also gone slightly off plan, i have my list of activites as in the 1st post, but swapping days about when needed to suit. this morning the kids woke up to find the elves downstairs with pots of lucky charms for them for breakfast, we also found when we went to the fridge to get the pack up sandwiches, they had little teeth marks in where the elves had been nibbling them during the night, the elves had also made replacement sandwiches of choc spread/jam/marshmallows and sprinkles with little note on saying they where sorry for eating samwich!
ive just checked on the little ones (and there elves as mine are allowed to play with them) and my little boy is laying on top of his elf! so thats going to be fun lol xxOne day I will live in a cabin in the woods0 -
I'm only on the 2nd night of the elf visiting (started a day late but mine are only 2 so don't know any different! He turned up after nap time and brought gifts and the girls were so excited) And I'm running out of ideas already
last night Tinseltoes was reading a story to all the other teddies and dolls. I don't really want him to be too naughty as I don't want him teaching the girls bad things! He's not going to be a total angel of course. And he is very good at bringing educational gifts
The first afternoon he brought Christmas story books and a festive sticker book each and last night was a Christmas counting book.
I love the idea of making a list of activities but I'm not the most organised person!:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Betterlife - Admittedly, now I think it is funny too, I was VERY stressed when I couldn't find her!!
I now really love the little elf, because our littlies play with and take Rudi out and about. Crinkle is too small so I have to think a little outside the box. That said Rudi is being discharged from hospital tomorrow night so Paramedic daddy needs to apply a sling and then I have to consider how to involve both of them!!
Good luck getting the elf from underneath your little boy xx0 -

Thought i would bump this up lol. my children had a postcard in the post today from the elves that stayed last year, saying that they can`t wait to come and stay again this Christmas with the children, and that they would arrive in about 16 and a half weeks!! there was even a message to them from Santa! One day I will live in a cabin in the woods0

Aw I remember doing similar last year, our elves delivered a package on the first day back at school, with a letter from Santa and new pencil cases!
We have opted out of the elves this year, last year was hard work and dd's seemed to be loosing interest a little (yet dd2 still "believes", it was just me running out of new idea's and getting lazy after 5 years!). So on xmas day santa left a note, saying he no longer felt dd's needed the elves to visit, as their reports were always so good ;-) So he had removed their magic, meaning they were now able to live with us, and become cuddle friends.
They sleep in dd2's bed with her every single night!
Happy Elfing 2015 xxIt's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
I love this. I did it two years ago when my 3 year old DGD came to stay from Australia. I sent a photo every day before she came of what he did.
Last year her parents did it in Australia. this year a second elf will join us for a week before stowing away in the case to join us there.
I have just written a 'back story' to the elves and will have printed with the photos.
She talks about him quite a lot and tells her new sister about him too, especially enjoyed the knickers on the tree.
Im not sure who enjoys it more, the now nearly five year old or her nearly sixty year old nanny.....Carolbee0 -
Ha Ha, my girls are 15 & 17 and still love their elves. My eldest only mentioned yesterday she hopes they will return this year. Our elves also like to give back to the community so may leave ingredients for cookies with a note explaining to hand out to all the neighbours or donating food to the homeless0
